The Gordon Arms in Aberdeenshire

A cold start to the night as it took two heaters a couple hours to warm up the room. The single room was a nice size and shower room was sufficient though the sink was very small and it was difficult to not splash out water. No shampoo/conditioner/body wash supplied though there was liquid hand soap. The old building had a distinctly strong old building smell. Unfortunately a large metal door in the alley way was loose and loudly banged through the night below my window. The rate was affordable for central Huntly.

Pleasant staff. 3 of us went here on Xmas day but was disappointed with the meal. Roast beef was under cooked and the Yorkshire puddings were so burnt that they were un eatable.

Just had a great meal out with the family. Food was delicious and the service was fab. The two female members of staff were both friendly, polite and attentive. Highly recommend a visit and we will definitely be back!!

Had lunch a party of four, just excellent we sat outdoors in a pleasant area as the weather was nice. I'll gladly return here.

Was here for a meal last week. The food and service was excellent. The staff were very friendly, the food was lovely and well presented and it was good portion sizes. It was also a very nice, relaxed atmosphere. Would highly recommend going and will definitely be back the next time I am in the area!

Was here for an early supper in the Gordon Arms Hotel Lounge after being in the area for a day out. We arrived before our table booking so went next door to the bar and outside beer garden to wait - staff in bar were very helpful and advised us when table was ready in main hotel lounge.Food was excellent with a hearty portion in all 3 of my courses and at a great price. The Chef's cheesecake of the day was excellent and I would highly recommend. The Bar/Lounge area with some light background music was a nice atmosphere to enjoy our post meal coffees and chat. Staff were very helpful and polite.

Was here for a meal on Saturday, the food and service was very good and well presented. Well priced for the high quality and portion size. Would highly recommend going and will definitely be back!

Great hotel with the most friendly atmosphere. Staff could not be more friendly. The restaurant next door again very friendly and as a great surprise to me pets are allowed in. This hotel is a must if visiting Huntly, I will be visiting again for sure. Recommend.

The Cafe was OK. Regular level pub grub. Not a bad burger but the steak sandwich is also a burger, just between bread.

Not many options in the area but this place needs a serious renovation. Leaking toilet on to floor (reported and they looked and offered me a different room). The breakfast is a joke. You help yourself to stuff out of a fridge. I just went to a nearby cafe as that was the best option. I grew up in this area and to think tourists stay here saddens me as this is their impression of Huntly and its people. I had a friend arriving to stay in the same hotel and when they took him to his room at 1400hrs it hadn't even been cleaned and made ready for him.Hopefully something is done because it is a beautiful building right in the centre of Huntly.Main meals and lunches served in the bar were very good. Staff are very nice but please upgrade the accommodation
