The Lodge at Strichen in Aberdeenshire

Really good and delicious food. Fabulous cheesecake. Good service.

Lovely meals and afternoon teas, great for take away coffee etc for going on the walk

Shame to see all the damage after storm Arwin, but they are doing a great job clearing up.

lovely meal and lovely friendly service nothing was too much trouble. highly recommend

We booked the Christmas lunch. It was excellent. All home made. Good sized portions. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Clean, friendly small restaurant/ café. Good food selection, nice coffee. Worth booking as seems very popular!

Lovely Time here at the lodge! 😁Took my granddaughter Renault who’s is only 4 years young, The lovely staff took oh so great care of her and Renault seemed to have bonded alot with a Megan i believe her name was! She was very helpful and patient with her, she also recommended Renault what food to get 😁A truely lovely experience, cannot wait to returnAll the best, Stephen

Lovely gem of a café, spacious and spotlessly clean. Friendly helpful staff but we're at full pace trying to do serving, clearing tables and taking orders by just two ladies.Extensive choices of cakes and teas, note afternoon takeaway cream tea availableSet in beautiful park surroundings with picnic tables overlooking lake and meandering walks. This cafe is actually on the Strichen disused railway route.

Great place. Although it was completely mobbed, our order was taken and prepared quickly. Useful buzzer system in use for takeaway or if you are sitting outside. Only improvement I'd suggest is reviewing their takeaway packaging - an awful lot of polystyrene and plastic there!

Peaceful and great for the kids. Nice walks through the trees and a fantastic lake. There is also a Lodge cafe at the park. Well worth a visit
