The Saltoun Inn in Aberdeenshire

Our stay here was alright. I’d give the hotel 4 stars but the bar deserves maybe 2.. The only pleasant staff we dealt with was the team leader behind the bar checking in. QR code ordering at the bar is an absolute pain. it would be nice if there was at least some level of customer service but no way. You order online and your food comes but you better remember to ask for condiments etc right then and there or else good luck. My mrs ordered a meal with coffee included for breakfast mine wasn’t included so I ordered a coffee separate and the server only brought one mug for myself, when we told her there should be another included she said she’d be back and that never happened. Overall felt like a very locals only environment

Super fast service. Friendly and polite staff. Love pizza and combo ribs. Great choice of beers. Would recommend

Great clean rooms and great location. Slept well just bit noisy with the air conditioning. Parked in Thistle Street car park. 30 seconds walk away from hotel. As car parking outside the hotel was a bit expensive. Didn't eat in but the place was clean and staff friendly. Would recommend

Very clean bar & toilets, friendly staff, menu's under £10, I had bean chilli was OK but nothing special, wife had the Steak and said it was very good. Both with drinks under £20.

Absolutely beautiful room for 46 pounds for 2 adults and a huge double sofa bed for a teenager. Lovely staff. Spotlessly clean.

Awesome place, you can book one of their specially trained seagulls to wake you up and the place is very glitzy and posh, we met Mick Jagger and Lady Gagga there but I don't think anyone was supposed to know. Last week we met Michael Caine and all the presenters of Blue Peter! A right showbiz hotspot, the chips are good too.

Currently staying here staff are very nice, Room big and airy, only one drawback I like a window open and people smoke out the front which comes right up to the room 😱

We stayed here 4 nights.Rooms cleaned every day cleaning staff very nice.Ate downstairs most evenings. Had lots of things missing off menu no lime for drinks ran out of lagers no pizzas no garlic breads ECT.Sat at table ordered on app put wrong number buy mistake got bad attitude off a lad bringing drinks told him we were sorry but he had attitude with us rest of time felt uncomfortable like naughty children.Very very noisy on a night outside hotel if your looking for a good night's sleep ask for a different room. We did but did not get one.Been their done it won't be returning.

Checked in to find we've been allocated a double room. We booked a family room. Manager showed excellent customer service and solved the problem in good time. Lovely beds and shower but humming noise from what we believed to be air conditioning was a bit of a nuisance.

Really nice place with good food and coffee and decent beverages. Great value for money. Place in traditional style, clean, comfortable, with tables arranged in common sense. I noticed that locals have a piece of the pub for themselves where they could enjoy socialising a little bit more than advised, but they were safe from tourist and what could be bring (covid) to their pub.
