Innocuous looking from outside but complete opposite inside.Lovely lounge and more formal eating area. Fantastic clean toilets and a 'doggy' station.Had a lovely lunch sitting at outside table with friendly and attentive service.

We went for Sunday lunch here and. The food was excellent. The chicken goujons being a particular highlight although all our meals were great. The key lime pie and sticky toffee pudding I would also highly recommend. The only negatives is that the roast beef didn't come with a Yorkshire pudding, and what place doesn't serve that with a roast beef! Although on leaving I did see others being served the roast beef and they did have a Yorkshire pudding so probably just forgot mine on the plate. The other thing was that we got details Cokes and they were not very good. So ask for a can to make sure you don't get the draft. Would still highly recommend as these as only very minor points and could have been solved by just asking the staff!

Lovely little place, convenient for Aberdeen but out enough to be quiet. The rooms are comfortable and clean if a little dated. The bar area was lovely, really comfortable, we didn't eat but the food looked great. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere.

There were 31 of us here for a Christmas lunch. The crispy duck starter was a lovely starter. This was followed by Rib of Beef, succulent beef, didn't need a knife, it just fell off the bone. Finished with a dark indulgent chocolate sweet. The portions were much more than adequate. Well worth the cost. There were other choices which all looked great and the comments were all favourable.

Built in the 70's it still has the look and feel of the era (loving the flameproof ceiling tiles). It's a budget hotel settled in a quiet area and a handy access to Aberdeen. Rooms are clean and cosy.Restaurant food is good and prices are reasonable for the are with Brewdog on the menu as the brewery is just up the road.Nice log burning fire helps give a relaxed atmosphere.Staff are really nice, friendly and helpful.

Nearly £14 for a burger and a few chips. No salad, onion rings etc. What was served was good quality. Service tried to clear plates several times before people had finished....I don't think the kids have any idea what they are doing wrong. Serving staff could not answer questions about the menu. Great to see clean tables and dining area. All taps in the gents would not flow without holding button down. Overall over priced. Will not visit again unless prices reduce by 25% to fall in line with the competition.

Very disappointed with the room, nothing like the one shown. Nail clippings on bedside table and cobwebs, didn't look like the room had been serviced to a reasonable standard. Staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our breakfast. Hotel nicely decorated, just a let down of the rooms.

A quiet Sunday afternoon carvery. Only 4 other people there when our party of 10 arrived so service should be good. The drinks order was taken within minutes of being seated & food order was taken soon after the drinks arrived. 6 of the party ordered from their menu & the other 4 had the carvery. We were left waiting nearly 3/4's of an hour before the food arrived & those who were going to have the carvery were told to go up & be served. Carvery was disgusting, meat was cold & dried out, potatoes were like golf balls, veg lifeless. My other moan is that the chips & sauces that were served up with the other meals were in small metal buckets!!! Don't know if they thought they were being creative with their presentation but in my opinion it looked silly & cheap. The chips also looked & tasted like micro chips. If you want good service & good food , PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go elsewhere

Went out for a mid-week meal to the White Horse as we hadn't been there for a few years, the appearance of the restaurant was neat and tidy and got are seats in no time along with are drinks. the thing that brings this review down, is that, as of ordering are food it took a whole hour to get are food on the table witch was ridiculous! The restaurant was not even a quarter full, I do not know how they must cope on the weekends. The food in the end was fine and was all finished after due to are hunger, the only thin wrong with the food was that on the menu it states that their burger is served in a brioche bun but instead was in a run of the mill supermarket bun. Once the food was finished it was like a vast wasteland to find a member of staff to ask for a bill (20 minute wait). When we found a member of staff he went to get are server so that they could get are bill but he was sent back out to do it himself. I personally won't be going back until the service is increased in speed.

My boyfriend and I went recently for a meal at the Whitehorse. The decor may be a little bit dated- BUT the food was amazing. I ordered the steak sandwich and there was so much that I couldn't finish my plate, despite trying! The food was great quality and the service was very attentive. Very impressed, a secret gem.
