Bayberry Hollow in County Durham

First time I'd been here and it was a Saturday lunch time so very busy. Had to queue for 20 mins for a table which you don't mind if the food is worth it. The food was incredible, wow.... All fresh and super tasty! Thank you!

First time visiting this place and was extremely impressed. Had afternoon tea, couldn't eat it all there was so much. Took the rest home. You pick your own type of sandwich, your own scone and your dessert.Will definitely go back.

What a lovely place! My friend and I met there for lunch and I arrived just as she was paying for her shopping, and she gave the gift shop a five star rating.We ate in, and even though the menu offers a great choice to suit all appetites, we both opted for the pulled-pork filled stottie with stuffing and apple sauce from the Specials Board. Other dishes on offer include traditional British pies as well as quiches, all cut above the ordinary. We were definitely not disappointed, our food was delicious and satisfying.My companion was particularly impressed by her potato wedges, and the taste I had made me wish I had ordered some as well as they are really tasty.We were well fed but found room for cake after; Toffeelicious sponge and ice-cream, and ginger cake served with clotted cream. Everything was very good indeed.It was busy there but we didn't have to wait for a table. The staff made us feel so welcome and service was excellent.We want to go again and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful place, staff were friendly, food was great and the shop had lots of beautiful gifts! Definitely worth a visit if you live anywhere close and they even do afternoon tea if you fancy that!

Just been treated by my 2 daughters to a lovely afternoon tea with prosseco. So much choice, and proper portions. Staff amazing and the crowning glory......a beautiful pansy plant to take home. Well worth a visit, will certainly return 😀

It's always an extremely busy place as it's so popular but the staff are very friendly and work hard to keep you updated on your wait timings. The food menu choice is great and the quality of food brilliant. A lovely place to go during the day for light lunches or an evening out with a group of friends. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely lunch here. Turkey, bacon and cheese sandwich and homemade chicken & veg soup, which was slightly spicy. The sandwich was filled with plenty of turkey, two rashers of bacon and a decent sized slice of Swiss cheese. My friend had sticky onion quiche with salad and a side order of potato wedges. She said it was lovely and there wasn't a scrap of quiche left on her plate.We both had lemon cheesecake with clotted cream, ice cream was an option too. It was tasty and very light. My preference would have been for it to be more sharp lemony taste but I like really zingy things. It is in the mid range for cost and I'll definitely be back.

First time here for my friends birthday, can't recommend the afternoon tea enough, all fresh, tasty, varied and service exceptional, will definitely be back , thank you Bayberry Hollow

What a fantastic place, beautiful shop inside leading to a heavenly quaint restaurant with a snug room and an equally decorated eating room upstairs with bar.Quality of food exceptional.Service excellent. Bonus, it's got an ample car park. The afternoon teas are really popular. Highly recommended

First trip out since lockdown and Bayberry Hollow didnt disappoint. The staff were brilliant, they really made us feel welcome their service was top notch, our table was a little late so they put a little treat on our table to compensate. The food was delicious. We also had a little wander around the shop which has lots of lovely items. Needless to say I had to buy something. Definately be visiting again
