Great fish and chips, well worth the drive, eat in or take out.

·

The chips were ok but the cod bites were miniscule and completely wet and soggy, definitely not freshly cooked. The prices have increased by about £2 and the portion have gotten smaller, really poor value for money and disappointing.

Very clean, delightful staff. Quick service. Had small cod which was lovely. Nice thin batter and not greasy. Unfortunately the chips could have benefitted from more cooking....needed more colour. All in all oretty nice meal.

Visited the Newton Hall branch on Friday 3rd June. Cod and haddock were lovely. Chips were disgusting. Neither of us ate more than a few. Mentioned to waitress. She admitted that they were using a "bad crop" of potatoes. Still got charged for them though. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!! We will never be going to Bells again. Nor will we be recommending to anybody else. Have had chips from other local establishments recently that were delicious.....obviously these other establishments don't knowingly use a bad crop!!!!!

Served mouldy bread, we used to be regulars here but will not be returning. The bread was served with mould face down so this was partly eaten before seeing the mould. The waitress may of been embarrassed which could be the reason she laughed about it.Such a shame as I regularly use team valley shop for my lunch.

Called in after 1pm as we had driven past a few times. We were impressed, fast seating, quick waitress service and the meal came quite quickly. Very tasty and a good sized portion too, loved the salad with the chicken. Will definitely go back again.

·

I enjoyed fish and chips here as every other bell branch.

Mum-in-law thoroughly enjoyed her 94th Birthday lunch at Bells. The staff couldn't have done more to make her feel special - even singing happy birthday. She was still talking about the experience hours later.Great food, friendly atmosphere, thank you all so much.

Really nice takeaway - very tasty, juicy cod, lovely batter and earthy, flavoursome chips. Nice mushy peas too. We have eaten in before, but find you get less for your money than takeaway. Very nice - recommended

This is our second trip to Bells. Been really good both times we visited. Nice venue to eat in as well. Recommended.
