Black Bull Inn in County Durham

Lovely pub!!! Sunday roast...£12 to £16... excellent! All local pump beers. Such a cosy place. Really enjoyed it here. Such a nice atmosphere....been again this year (2019) & still love it. Food is so good & going back again tomorrow.

We visited this old Inn for the first time over the Christmas period with family. The old world feel certainly lives up to expectations and the staff very accommodating. The food was good especially the cheese and biscuits. Our dog loved it also. Would of been nice to see some snow to really give that authentic look. Will go back again when in the location.

Amazing food! Lovely place with friendly service. Has a child's menu and is dog friendly. Go back year after year. Highly recommend.

Been here A few times now, food has always been great, highly recommend the belly pork.. delicious! Nice to be made welcome when visiting with a dog. Haven't a bad word to say about the place, my favourite spot to walk the dog and pop in for food afterwards.

Today we arrived to a warm welcome. A party of 4 and two dogs. The fire was burning and the table was set. We had been for a nice walk, not too long. This was our halfway point on our journey back to Manchester from a week-long holiday in Loswick.The food, I had the Lamb shoulder and my partner had the burger. I had apple crumble for dessert and my partner had the brownie.I had long thought that I had already eaten the best meal of 2018. I was wrong. In fact this could easily be the best pub meal I've ever had. It was THAT GOOD!Well done guys. Keep doing it. And compliments to the kitchen. Wow.

Had a nice relaxing pint after a long walk. Nice choice of drinks and the staff were friendly. Food is served here but I cannot comment this as we did not eat.

Best Sunday lunch in the world. Cute ‘proper’ pub. Always busy- must book!

Lovely pub, dog and child friendly, very friendly staff, nice range of real ales, Allendale and Consett breweries- definitely worth a visit
