Brambles Coffee Shop in County Durham

Overpriced and bad quality cream teas. Poor customer service too. Reasonable spot next to the garden centre though. Wouldn't recommend a visit

After miles of roadworks trying to get past Newcastle, we needed something to cheer us up. So happy we decided to stop here. Brambles has a lovely menu and a fantastic selecting of cakes/ baking.We opted for the ploughman's salad and the chicken caesar salad. Ten or of ten for them both. The ploughman's would have received 11 or if 10 if there had been a pickled onion with it, but that's only because I love them.One to remember for future visits

Just had the gardeners delight afternoon tea. Wow, was fantastic, so much food, we actually took some home. Staff were absolutely lovely. Already planning next visit

This is my 3rd visit to Brambles it was a very rainy day so was surprised it was so busy, which speaks volumes. We did wait a while for our order but expected due to the amount of visitors. As previous visits it was worth the wait. Lovely environment, gorgeous food and friendly staff.Will definitely keep returning.

1 member of staff came across as quite abrupt when I was ordering coffee asked for hot milk for my americano gave me cold which she did exchange but came across as too much trouble no apologies. What happened to please/ thank you ?? I also asked for pot of hot water but she was too quick to go to the next customer but the guy taking food orders & payment gave me the water. He was smiley & pleasant. Previous visits staff have been lovely.

Went in to check it out before booking a room for buffet after funeral. We were met by Lauraone of the managers, she was very friendly and professional and assured us that there would be enough staff to look after us on the day.

Decent place serving good lunchtime food with more seating outside than in. We've been back and will go again. These Garden Centre places are much the same - acceptable/good, but their focus is trying to sell their (mostly useless) wares.

Four of us have now been visiting Brambles for 5 weeks and each visit has ended with our table being left covered with our used plates and cup/saucers. as we normally buy a savoury dish first with a hot drink then follow it with a sweet dish and hot drink, you can imagine what a clutter is left on the table because it's never cleared unless we pack it all up and take it to the counter! Nice food, good coffee but time we need to move on...

Good array of Sandwich choices, slightly overpriced, fast service and one staff was a bit stuck up, glad we booked in advance as it was jam packed.
