Cafe Nero in County Durham

Normally love Caffe Nero for its café spaces which are comfy and relaxed and quality of coffee and hot chocolates. This Durham Caffe Nero is not one of my favourites though. Visited on a Saturday afternoon and my husband visited earlier in the day as well. On one of the visits there was a long queue and staff were allowing the queue to form as some members checked/filled shelves rather than work to get customers served so service much slower than normal.The design of the space inside is also not ideal ..bit of a corridor feel to it with just 2 sets of seats in the front by the door with more light and a more comfy feel. More seating down the back.Coffee and hot chocolate though of the same quality as other Nero’s and far better than their competitors which is why we always like to try out the Nero.

Asked for mocha and a brownie. Got a mocha. Must say not as nice as they were.

Nice ambience, friendly staff, good coffee and tasty cakes. Also, unlike Starbucks, no patronising signs making out that you wish harm to others if you don't wear a mask in the store (although of course it's fine when you're sitting down!)

Where ever we go we always look for a Caffè Nero because we always know that we are going to get served by very nice staff and the same standard of food and drinks are the same in all of them Oh yes they are pet friendly as well.

We are always pleased when we see a Caffè Nero because we know the standard of food and drinks always clean and tidy but the best thing for us is they are also dog friendly on a cold and wet winters day it's just like mirage appearing out of the mist.

Staff are fantastic a credit to the company,the lady who served us at tea time was brilliant with my 2 young grand daughters,even give us 2 plastic cups to pour milk shakes in ,to drink going home,pat on the back for her.

Hot chocote with soya milk.I think it costed £2.95 which is why I have deleted 2 stars, because it was nothing special and that is very expensive for a hot drink.Customer service not great. I was not offered a receipt and had to ask for one.

Cozy coffee shop which serves great coffee and a pretty good chocolate. The place isn’t that big but it has a decent number of tables available with relaxing music playing so you can chill while reading a book, surfing the web, or just hanging with some friends.The service is nice they will take your order with a smile and will be happy to help with whatever doubts you might have.Caffè Nero offers a good variety of food, from sandwiches to delicious desserts. I can personally recommend the chocolate and raspberry tart. As for drinks they serve the basic stuff and have a specialty menu with kind of premium beverages.You can grab a card to collect a stamp for each time you buy something, or you could just download the mobile app for the same festure and also the possibility of getting rewards now and then.
