Fantastic food and service, I've lived in Durham for year's first visit with Norwegian family, will be back soon x

For me and my group of friends this is by far the best Indian restaurant we have tried in the area.Firstly the staff are really helpful and are always attentive. The food is top class and very reasonably priced. Ideal location for the city centre, I can't recommend it enough,

Was busy when we arrived first time and we hadn't booked so they couldn't seat use but kindly told is to come back in 30 minutes. So 30 minutes later we returned go seated straight away so happy daysService was friendly and efficient and food arrived quickly once the order had gone in and was all very tasty. All in all a great visit will definitely return.

Usually eat in restaurant, but ordered take away. Excellent service fantastic delivery and food was amazing. Best Indian in Durham City definitely 5 star for service and food.

Undercooked aubergines (how hard is that?) Unimpressive service overall: late, and waiters mostly focuse on their buddy eating at the next table. They even sat with them and ate. How unprofessional is that? ...not to mention them amiably having a conversation while you asked for the bill (heck ive had enough and just want to leave) and keeping you waiting. I would consider their service terrible, and food mediocre.

Great service with cosy environment & tasty food for reasonable prices :) would recommend 👍

To be frank, my group weren't impressed. Our reservation was for 9:15 and we were seated half an hour afterwards (~9:45). The menu is extensive and so there is a lot of variety which is good. Some prices are reasonable but some are definitely not such as a small bowl of plain boiled rice being £3.45. Drinks are about a normal price. We ended up getting our food at 10:45, which is an hour and a half after our reservation. All of our food was tasty, but definitely lacked the spice we were expecting for a naga chili dish and other self proclaimed very spicy foods. Poppadoms and naan were good (The naan was a bit expensive) but the paratha wasn't. Staff didn't seem very organised and they weren't incredibly helpful when we asked for water or questions about the menu and payment. For us there were too many staff for so few tables, which felt a bit strange. I *may* visit this place again until I find a better one.

Top notch food, my favourite restaurant in Durham. Always great service and it’s a pleasure to eat there. Highly Recommended!

Went for a late valentines meal with my boyfriend - It gets very busy! The atmosphere is welcoming and the decor pleasant, although we were seated in a bit of an awkward spot so people did have to squeeze past sometimes (again, probably not an issue at quieter times!)The food was all excellent - I'm a big fan of hariyali (who doesn't love bright green foods!) and I would recommend it highly from here. The portions were big enough to fill us up and provide the next day's lunch as well, and the naan bread and vegetable pilau we ordered were also great!Overall; great food, be sure to book if you're going when it's likely to be busy - it can get a bit loud as well. I would go again!
