Chocolate Fayre in County Durham

Fabulous little find with gorgeous secret garden to enjoy coffee and ice cream. Absolutely lovely 😍

What glorious chocolates. Wonderful mix of textures and flavours. Totally recommend and support the small artisan chocolatiers. Very very good. Service friendly and efficient too.

Had an excellent hot chocolate from here - made properly with steamed milk and real chocolate. Three options of sweet, medium and dark - make sure you have a very sweet tooth if you're going to plump for the sweet one! My partner had the medium one and it was well balanced, not too bitter but not overly sweet. Nice touch that you get a free truffle chocolate to go with your hot chocolate. The chocolates on offer were a little outside of our price range, but still worth dropping by for a hot choc!

Look nice and impressive but we only had ice cream yes it was nice about 12 flavors to choose from but portion on the small side for the price being charged

Wonderful coffee and chocolates, and fantastic ice cream. Very helpful and friendly staff. A 'must visit' if you're in the area, if not, the online ordering service is also top notch. Check out the tasting club!

I was overcharged here last August. I paid by contactless at arms length with a table in the way due to Covid distancing and I trusted the shop assistant to charge me the correct amount. She also removed the price stickers from the items. Why, I'm not sure. The next day when I reviewed my bank statement I noticed I had been overcharged. I emailed the shop to query the amount with a description of the items bought and a photo of the receipt. I waited and waited and received no reply. The chocolates may have been lovely, they were a gift so I don't know. My one star is for the complete lack of customer service.

Lovely little shop, great selection of individual chocolates to make your own perfect package. Reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area

My husband got me some and best chocolate I have had in years devine . I think the price is just right for the quality of the product . The hubby will be coming back x

Absolutely fantastic range of chocolate and sweets here. Great ice creams too. The man behind the counter was very pleasant and knew what he was talking about. Gift wrapping service was great, the wall of different types of ribbon was unlike anything I've ever seen before.
