Why serve this? Don’t normally leave such negative feedback but……. Waited 50 mins to be served with a main course of Chicken Kiev and salt and chilli burger. The restaurant was quiet 4.15pm.Told the Kiev took a little while longer to cook…The meal arrived and on first sight the chips were beyond brown verging on black, greasy and unpleasant. The Kiev was a decent size and reasonably well cooked but had huge chunks of uncooked garlic with no seasoning inside.The burger was wet and very poor. Both ‘dressed salads ‘ were wet, limp and minute.Had far higher expectations for this restaurant.Both meals were taken off the bill as we couldn’t eat them.Wine was nice !Sadly won’t be returning.

Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere the staff were really nice and had a good bit of a laugh with us and made us feel welcome and they looked after us.The portions were a little large for me but the food we had was absolutely delicious, we had the Gammon Steak and a Fred's Dirty Burger. Normally you have either quality or quantity and here you get both.When you walk through the front door you walk into the bar area it has a very warm friendly feeling. We went on a Friday night and it was a bit loud in the bar as you would expect but the restaurant is through the bar and out towards the back and by the time we had been seated we couldn't really hear the bar. The restaurant is a very nice small intimate area with an open kitchen very enjoyable.Will definitely be going back 110%

Never disappointed, no matter how many times we've been. The place always maintains a homely welcoming atmosphere, with a varied menu to suit all tastes, all served by friendly and helpful staff. We always book, having been disappointed once for not getting a table. That was the only disappointment we've ever encountered there and that was from not being able to get there!!

Called in for breakfast Sunday morning about 10.45, asked a young waitress if they were still doing breakfast. She said, we aren't doing it cos it's mother's day. I said there was no mention on their website, then when asked if there was anywhere else, she said, dunno. Very rude, no customer service skills. However we found Lanchester garden centre nearby, what a lovely place, so friendly and accomodating, fantastic breakfast, fantastic customer service and beautiful gardens. We'll done guys what a difference you make.

Had a delicious meal of monkfish and husband had Asian infused lamb shank. Compliments to the chef. Sat in the dog friendly section. Waitress very helpful and cheerful as well as the bartender who let us sample the draught ale which we enjoyed.

A lovely Family Friendly Restaurant, offering a variety of foods to tempt all palates and tastes. Make sure to book, to save disappointment, as it can get busy, as expected of a quality diner!

A beautiful pub in a lovely little village and literally the BEST food and very reasonably priced. All staff were attentive and friendly. 5* place. Will definitely return.

This restaurant is beyond 5 stars,the meal and steaks were beautiful. The service excellent . Highly recommended for a special night out. Thank you to the staff for a very relaxing occasion.

Fantastic! From the moment we walked in the door we knew it was going to be something special. The steaks were cooked to perfection. Compliments to the Chef (Sean). It was sooo good when it arrived I forgot to take a picture of it... and I always take a picture.lol. five stars.xxx Highly recommended this little gem.
