The staff were welcoming and helpful, the.menu was varied and the food well presented. Amongst the best Italian restaurants I have visited.

Hubby and I have eaten here previously and always very impressed with both food and staff, tonight we had the fillet steaks both medium rare with the prawns in garlic butter absolutely cooked to perfection, I cannot recommend this place enough food fab and the staff are lovely, welcoming and attentive but not in your face, after a very disappointing boxing day steak in The Rib Room at Ramside this will be our go to steak place nowxx

Gorgeous Sunday lunch this was delicious. £12.95 for two courses, party of seven and we all agreed, lovely service too 😊

Came here for a meal while visiting family in Durham. Had a wonderful meal. The scotch egg to start was beautiful and the gnocchi for my main was perfection. Service was great. Atmosphere spot on. Can’t wait to come back. If I was local I’d absolutely be working my way through the menu, trying everything. Highly recommend.

Two nights in a row I have ordered from Antico restaurant in Durham, and both times I have thouroughly enjoyed the meals. The Food is absolutely phenomenal, the staff are very courteous and the service top notch! Ordering again very soon 😊

I was majorly disappointed in my meal and my families meals here last week (17.9.21) week.. First visit since change of ownership and lockdowns etc.. Table still had crumbs on when we were seated, I commented on that and nothing was done, food arrives Chicken was overcooked and dry, pasta was flavourless, pizza toppings seemed rationed. Ordering refill of drinks was difficult, staff weren't busy just not paying attention the seated customers.Decor is very nice, staff are friendly but let down by food and attention to detail.I won't be visiting here again, and for the high increase of price since change of ownership and downfall of quality I wouldnt recommend anyone else to come here either.Shame really 😔.

Just visited Antico for the first time and it was an excellent experience!Nice decor, the staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent. Really tasty and there was plenty of it. The prices were very reasonable too.We were a table of 10, there to celebrate my 60th birthday. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who conducted the communal singing of "Happy Birthday" to me and brought the cake, my wife had arranged, to the table. We'll definitely be back in the near future.

We were not impressed with our first experience, and most probably last. Food was not very tasty, good portion , I had pate very pour, Ragout pasta were put in the dish wait so it made its took away the flavour. Few of us had a upset stomach the next day, it could have been the meal as something else!

Restaurant is stylish and comfortable. Front of house staff are professional, sociable and attentive. The food is delicious and there is good variation on the menu. The price is a few quid more than its predecessor, so it's not necessarily a 'cheap and cheerful' meal out anymore, but you get what you pay for.Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Durham or to those living locally, who are yet to give it a try.

Absolutely incredible! Ordered as takeout and still received restaurant quality. Large portions full of flavour and very filling. Worth every penny!
