Fifty Six Restaurant in County Durham

The mixed platter was very dry and too salty. When I asked for sweet and sour or peanut sauce to make it more palatable I got told they did not have any sauces even though several items in their menu primarily have those sauces in them.

Not authentic Chinese food. Taste horrible....

The food was soooo great!!! Just found out that it is a chain restaurant. We have also tried the one in New Castle. That was awesome as well!

Really lovely food here. Lots of choice. Sweet and sour was gorgeous. They did forget one dish, so we had to chase. But apart from that no issues at all. Authentic Chinese, made freshly and came out piping hot. Would definitely go again.

I took my family here for my daughters 17th birthday as she likes Chinese food. The food was nice and tasty but wouldn't go back as to sit in and spend £120 in what is predominantly a take away buy the looks of it.very small place .not a good ambience unfortunately. staff where friendly but had to order online to eat in.not great experience

AWFUL service ever. I ordered two times with Uber eats and Deliveroo. With Deliveroo, they took two hours to deliver even though my location is not far from the restaurant, and now, with Uber eats, they didn't deliver until they finished their working time.When I called them, they said they don't know continuously like mocking birds. I cannot understand why they are using delivery service. they should Refund my money back.In Durham, there are lots of other good Chinese restaurants, so think again and deliver from others.

The food is delicious and the service is fast! I recommend the noodles soup and plenty of rice. The waiting time is reasonable.

Came with my Chinese friend today. Was really disappointed, food was greasy and salty. Potatoes in the stew were fried.Chinese Hamburger - little fillings, deep fried dough bread.70% of the menu are spicy food.Won’t come again.

Fantastic Sichuan Restaurant. Popular amongst the Chinese students, don't expect traditional British Chinese food, instead enjoy great flavours, new ingredients and lots of spice.
