Came in November 21. Just slack at reviews!Very well looked after by all members of team, lovely warm and welcoming ambience in the restaurant.Prices incredibly reasonable for the quality of the food and service that you get in this establishment, they’re doing it all well.Thankyou

Lucent food. Had the Christmas lunch menu. Very good value. £30 for 3 generous courses.

Friendly helpful staff, steak is divine as is the cheese and spinach soufflé, however the triple cooked chips weren't good tasted like stale old potatoes and the dessert was disappointing, expected top class for the price but it didn't deliver

You will have no problem booking a table... Just make sure that you have pre-booked an appointment at your local dentist, to check for the damage caused by shot in your meat.

Main dish was a scotch beef. It was delicious. Starter is pigeon breast . Really good but other components on the dish were average. Decoration was very out dated.Room (up stairs) very claustrophobic.Ambiance is really very poor. If you close your eyes and just focus on meal fine, else look for a better decorated place.

Nice atmosphere, friendly but somewhat slow service. High quality tasty food and lots of screens between tables. Would recommend!

Good Sunday roast - the meat was fantastic although everything else slightly paled in comparison. Staff were great and one of the best COVID set-ups I’ve seen.

Best restaurant in Durham (admittedly the City is not famed for its cuisine, but Finbarr's would be deemed good in any location). Great food, well cooked and a good wine list. Excellent venison and duck, local seafood and delicious haggis scotch eggs. Yummy souffle and mousse for dessert. Really good bread. Service not very slick and one waitress was clearly not having a good day, as she offered a frown from first meeting and was lacking a smile throughout the evening unless encouraged. We will return.

Located somewhat outside the city & in a farm house. But understaffed that Sunday we went. Food was ok but quite competitively priced especially for set.

We were a party of 9 at a work Christmas Dinner and were very well looked after. Restaurant is gorgeous inside, very elegant. The bar was cosy (a little too warm at one point with 9 of us, but we had fun). Drinks are reasonably priced for a place like this. Service was friendly and efficient (especially the lady looking after us in the room upstairs). Food was delicious - steaks were perfectly cooked, chips crisp and desserts tasty. Cheese croquettes - could serve a couple instead of one. Steak could be accompanied by a few more fries too (the fish cakes got lots though). Great meal overall and excellent service.
