Frankie & Benny's in County Durham

Visited here for dinner (lunch) on our shopping trip with our 3 kids.Basic menu for lunch time which was fine and still a decent selection. The kids meals are good value and all 3 boys enjoyed their meals. It's a shame you can't get 2x sides though as some of the meals are quite small.I chose the Halloumi Wrap which I really regretted - I love Halloumi but there was so much salad and avocado that I couldn't even taste the Halloumi in it, very disappointing. My husband had the BBQ beef wrap which he said was really nice.Dessert wise I thought the options were pretty rubbish if you don't like or don't want chocolate. It's a shame they don't have a strawberry or Eton mess sundae or something. I tried the creme egg cookie dough in the end and it was very rich, definitely needs to come with ice cream.Our waitress was lovely, very quick service. It's a good pit stop for lunch but I'd definitely pick something different if we went again.

This was a horrible experience. Me and my family used to come here all of the time and love it. Yesterday I took my mum and for a stater we ordered the garlic bread. This used to be our favourite thing from the whole restaurant. Something has changed. It was chewy, the cheese tasted horrible and it was tiny. Then we ordered the pepperoni pizza and the mozzarella pizza. I don’t have enough words to describe how they used to be, maybe delicious or incredible. Now I don’t even want to talk about it, it will make me be sick. Never mind the staff. They were ignorant, selfish and when we ordered from the app she gave us a dirty look. I’m not sure what her name was but if I did it would be in the review.Overall it was a bad visit

We went with the family- yesterday evening.Exceptional service. Great food. The lovely staff went out of their was to accommodate us, these lads deserve a pay rise. 👏 would definitely choose this one to return too, due to them being so friendly..

came here a few weeks ago and loved breakfast! the service was so quick and the staff were very friendly. one of the meals was slightly undercooked but other than that it’s great! would recommend.

We always go to Frankie and Benny's at the MetroCentre for its amazing food and welcoming atmosphere. Today we were not disappointed, amazing food great staff. We did have issues with payment as the system would not accept our gift card however the staff were very understanding and supportive after a few hours of work with customers service we were able to pay on our gift card and they refunded the money to our account.

I thought the menu was poor, maybe they are still using the "covid"reduced menus. I hope a new full menu is offered soon or I think people will get bored very quickly. The food I had was ok but my wife likes the place otherwise I would not go there. No complaints its just got nothing special going for it.Try it for yourself & make your own mind up as it is a very personal experience & its what you think that is important.

First time in ages we've been to Frankie and Benny's and really enjoyed lunch. We went for the lunchtime menu and everything came out hot and was very tasty. The burger was especially good. The server could not have been nicer or more friendly.

The most tasty but filling food I've had. All better than my standards and staff were lovely. Didn't wait long for the meal and piping hot as it should be!

Starter was nice (Big Mac n Cheese bites), but the main (ABC Chicken Burger) wasn't anything special (was rather disappointed). Food was kinda expensive too (£6+ for starter, £13+ for main) :/
