Horn Hall Farm Tea Rooms in County Durham

Had high hopes for this place, but was left fairly disappointed. The cake was stale, the vegan burger was very plain and the rest was not too great. It might have been an off day so I’ll give it another chance and see if it changes. I also think the interior could be improved with a bit of redecorating and rearranging.

This place is wonderful! Really friendly staff, great atmosphere, coffees and then some very hearty vegetarian breakfasts came out very swiftly indeed even though it was pretty busy! So impressed.

Very busy when we visited, and staff kept asking if we were ready to order - within about three minutes of sitting down we were asked, and this was repeated twice more about a minute apart. Understandable given how busy it was (I suppose) but the staff were very pleasant with it. Good variety of traditional food on the menu, served freshly cooked. Will return, but at a quieter time.

The best brunch in Durham town center. Traditional English breakfast & nice coffee. Beautifully decorated & spacious place. Quick service & friendly staff. Great offer before and after lunch time. There are not many choices of places to eat at Durham town center & Treats is always a ideal one.

Absolutely loved it here had breakfast then called back at t.time for tea and cake . Lovely friendly staff . Great decor in the cafe . Food delicious and really good prices. We'll worth a visit

Just spent several lovely hours in Treats catching up with a friend. Didn't realise we'd stayed so long but it's such a fantastic place it's easy for the time to fly! Really lovely service from the friendly staff, fantastic food (highly recommend the veggie breakfast), cake and great coffee in a lovely, clean setting. It really is a total treat and I look forward to going back. Often get delivery on a weekend too - the salads are superb! Thanks Treats!

Great place for high tea. Quality sandwiches, scones, pastries and tea. They also have delivery which is great! Only reason why I'm only giving 4 stars is that they forgot to include one of our teas, but things happen and it was still a fantastic meal. :)

Nice cosy atmosphere with really friendly staff. Can get busy during peak hours but there is an upstairs area with lots of more seating. Very well priced too especially being in the heart of Durham. Definitely coming back.

Stumbled across this place and I’m so glad we did! Fabulous food and service, and the best vegan breakfast I could ask for! Extremely good value for money too, which is always a bonus! Lovely little tea room in Durham.
