Absolutely spot on Turkish food prepared fresh. You could easily miss this gem if you walked past but the quality of the food and the friendly efficient service raise this restaurant up high.

Wonderful Ambiance and Authentic Cuisine…on a one day stop in Durham and wanted a lamb fix! Had a slight cold and the soup of the day(lentil),hit the spot , as well as, the main course…nice people, good service and appetizing food..

A small, family run restaurant in the centre of Durham. Wow! The food was fantastic. The menu choice is great, the ingredients were quality and the flavours amazing. Portions were very generous too. The staff were lovely. I think that the price was fair for the standard of meal. This was our first visit and we can't wait to go back. The only downside is that if you have mobility issues, the stairs could be an issue.

It was so delicious Turkish food. I could not expect that the lamb could be so delicious. But here, you can enjoy very yummy foods.One disadvantage of this fabulous food is that it is too popular. So I wait in the restaurant for over 1hour. It was such a starving time. So if you want to join these delicious foods, it is better to have a reservation.And it is better to see the picture of menus on the internet if you don't know about them precisely.

We had a lovely time! The waiter was really nice, friendly but not to much nor pushy. Food was so tasty and well done! Good, big portions and good value! Definitely the best Turkish that we had in Durham

Great restaurant with lots of character and a warm welcome. Was very busy when we went which is always a good sign but food was served accurately without delay. Had a couple of queries during the meal but everything explained with a smile. I will be back

My favourite Turkish restaurant in Newcastle and Durham! I came with friends, we ordered chicken, lamb and meatballs with cheese inside (or something similar). All very lovely. Nice service, good quality of foods. Highly recommended! Will come back soon.*they offer 10% student discount, student card needed.

Utterly fantastic. Dined here yesterday evening with my girlfriend. Went for the hot meze starter and ‘mixed meat sharer’ type dish for our main. The food was unbelievable. I love Turkish food and often seek it out when in a new city but this was the best I’ve had. Huge portion of perfectly spiced and expertly cooked food. Great Turkish house red to wash it down too. Friendly, attentive staff. Terrific value too. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Turned up here on a Sunday night, having never tried Turkish cuisine before (other than the odd Donner kebab).Great choice of hot and cold starters and mains on the menu. Starters were generally £5 to £8. Mains between £10 and £16 mostly.Food arrived promptly and was well presented and very flavoursome. Didn't try dessert as we were stuffed!Would definitely go again!

A real small decision to try this lace as we were en route somewhere else. So glad we did, very quaint and good attentive service. The food was fantastic and generous. We went for the meat mega mix, Massive portion and beautifully cooked.
