King's Head in County Durham

Meals are really good quality and very well presented. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Decor is really nice creating a very comfortable dining experience.

Fabulous Sunday lunch, perfect meat, green vegetables couldn't be greener, enormous Yorkshire puddings, self service for the veg and extra gravy. Excellent service every time in a pleasant and not overcrowded environment. Child friendly too.

Didn't stay here but had a meal which we thoroughly enjoyed - reasonably priced. Also called for just a drink. Nice pub/restaurant. Clean. Pleasant/friendly staff.

Absolutely will not be back, they have no concept of how to treat their customers, more so ones with medical/dietary issues!! made to feel small by the whole experience, food wasn't great either, would not recommend to anyone that has a disability or dietary needs, they need to learn about the discrimination act, and equality!! Just disgraceful

Called in for a meal with no booking. The staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing. Will definitely be back.

Went for Sunday lunch. Great service from staff, very quick out the kitchen and food was perfect. Really nice pub.

You can not complain about portion size. Overall I had a very good experience welcomed by friendly staff. Place was spotlessly clean. And as soon a guests left the table the everything was cleaned down.Definitely go back need to sample good Sunday Dinner

Had a lovely meal today, unfortunately not the chicken pie, but couldn’t fault the Kings Head burger, delicious. Staff were so friendly and took our photo outside of the hotel to match a wedding photo we had taken on a seat outside 50 years ago!Thankyou for help make our special day x

Lovely food, attentive staff. You can’t book a table over the phone which is a bit of a pain but after a little faff online where you are forced to set up an account to book we made our booking. Venue has good decor. Plenty of parking. The pies are apparently the best in the country. I tend to agree. Recommended.

The chicken Balti pie with cauliflower bhaji and Bombay potatoes was AMAZING. The crusty pie was perfect and the Balti filling was saucy enough to dip into but not so wet it made the crust soggy. Full of succulent chicken pieces and beautifully spiced. The decor and furnishings made for a pleasant environment. The beer was good and the staff friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend this pub.
