Kings Balti in County Durham

Had our meal delivered tonight and was DISSAPOINTED at the packaging the brown paper bag what has the food in was soaked in masala sauce as the lids weren't on properly. So everything was covered the plastic bag was covered in it. I took photos proof. But the food was absolutely 1st class. Just upset at the mess..

Order was wrong. Tikka masala lid wasn't on properly and had leaked over the other containers. Food was just ok - nothing impressive. Won't be returning.

We ordered chicken tikka masala, king prawn on puri and nan bread, the naan was bone dry and, and we could see the bread hardening in front of us. The chicken tikka masala was at the bottom of the bag, as you'd expect but it was squashed and the container was split and the masala sauce in the bottom of the bag, we won't be getting food there again

Can not fault the food .... However delivery prices r out of this world .. They charged me £4.90 from Bishop auckland to Shildon

Order from this here on a fairly frequent basis, usually a very good service and nice food. Delivery today for four people, popadoms crushed to flakes.. called to explain and was told they were okay when they left the shop!! Small point, but fuming, as if I want free popadoms :(…Lost customer.. not that they seemed to care ..

WHAT A DISGRACEAn absolute disgrace in fact. We ordered our food at 18:12 through a well known website and our order was accepted, we were given an estimated delivery time of 1hr 10mins. Well that’s fine, but once you’ve paid it miraculously adds on another hour??Our food eventually arrived at 21:00 after some unconvincing bulls*@t from the shop.Maybe they should stop taking orders they cannot get out in the timescale given and concentrate more on quality not quantity!!WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE BACK

Absolutely disappointed, Chicken Tikka starter was raw chicken and threw it away, main course was all smashed up in bag. Best part was the popodams. Takeaway driver lass was about as happy as a road accident, will never use again, pure rubbish and people out there need to know what bilge you are serving. PS this is not a fake review from any competitor trust me !!!

The naans were nice, got a free dish added too. I had an unpleasant and unexpected suprise in my special Balti which I can obly describe as being like an industrial metal staple. Finding a fine sharp piece of metal in my dinner isnt what I expect from a takeaway.

It's the 2nd time we've ordered from here & the 2nd time it's been delicious. I got a balti special for main & it was gorgeous loads of meat in it & plenty of tasty spices, the wife had Chicken tikka balti & she raved about it!!. Only downside was that i order tandoori fish as a starter & when it came it was prawns which I'm allergic to. Luckily the wife realised & we swapped. All in all happy with the meals but clearer menu would help 👍👍

We are on holiday in Staindrop and dropped in to Bishops Auckland on the way back. We fancied a curry and found the King's Balti. It said "award winning" in the window and whilst I don't know what award, but if it was for the food then it was very well deserved. We only bought a takeaway, but the person who served me was very helpful and polite. The food only took about 15 minutes and stayed really hot for the further 10 minutes it took to get back to our cottage. There was plant of it too. Large round containers, filled to the top, and a good portion of rice. It was also excellent, lots of meat and plenty of sauce that was all perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. Would we recommend the King's Balti? You bet we would.
