Quite expensive but food is good quality with quite a decent choice. Corned beef slices are delicious. Adjoining tea room has a tasty menu on offer.

Amazing food, Lovely staff, clean and delicious. Not wheelchair friendly though, unless you eat outside on a nice dayEdit: visited again today and had three meals two teas and a coffee for £35! So cheap I was shocked how cheap it was!I was really impressed by the butcher also very knowledgeable and didn't mind me asking lots of questions

The best farm shop I have ever visited, the meat is locally sourced, fresh laid eggs daily, fantastic pies and scones, then you get the pleasure of a hearty cooked breakfast with scrambled egg made to perfection, other things on the menu but usually have the same.the staff are all friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a visit

I've visited Knitsley a few times now and each time it doesn't disappoint! The quality of food, in particular their fresh meat and veg is second to none, and today I picked up some extremely good quality rump steak. They also carry bacon, sausages, pies, chicken dishes, lamb and other seasonal products including hot baked goods (try their sausage rolls!). There are also local cheeses, beers and wines, freshly made cakes and bread and also an outdoor coffee bar serving meals and snacks (although at time of writing this is temporarily closed due to the time of year). Well worth a visit and looking forward to the summer when I can ride my motorcycle over and stop for a coffee. Cyclists will love it as it's right on one of the major cycle paths cutting through the county. The outdoor coffee bar is now open for summer and is serving great snacks and meals including weekly special scones!

Our first visit to this Farm Shop, Two Words( absolutely amazing), obviously pay a little bit more than normally would, but worth every penny, fresh fruit and veg, cooked meats , delicious pies, and butchers, the cake stall was fantastic, also a Cafe which we are going to try next weekend .

Food was overpriced and correct details of food was not given on menu ( no indication that onions and some sauce...possibly horseradish....was included with the hot beef stottie). Tables inside were unsuitable for four people so we decided to eat outside. Food was served in polystyrene containers....it was a takeaway at restaurant prices....we will not be returning.

Shop very good - stottie sandwiches were amazing value; wish we'd had a cool bag with us to take home a selection of the sausages and bakery goods. Staff extremely pleasant and friendly.Coffee shop was a let down for us - cappuccino was basically warm milk, even with an extra shot in it. However other people's food looked good👍

This is a great farm shop/cafe. If you're walking or cycling the lanchester- Consett old rail line it's a perfect stop off. Prices on the high end but the quality shows. The ploughman's lunch would do both the ploughman and his horse easily!! Shop full of quality and interesting goodies.

Quite hidden away and off the beaten track with a teeny sign from the road. But people seem to know about it as even on a windy Friday in February there were plenty of people there.Fabulous array of food, bought sausages and bacon and a wonderful pavlova.

Great little shop with lots of niche delicatessen products you don't find elsewhere, and great butchery. Also now has an outdoor/takeaway cafe, so great for a stop off when walking out cycling the coast-to-coast track that runs past it
