Moments Cafe in County Durham

Popped into Moments today for lunch, after a lovely river walk and a mooch around Barnard Castle. Lovely cafe, very pretty and quirky, we sat downstairs and it was very cosy, lovely atmosphere and staff very friendly. Food and coffee very tasty, homemade bread divine, we would definitely visit again.

Very nice place. Much bigger than it looks, with an extensive menu that looks very appetising. Could only choose one, though, so we had the soup today. Will be calling again- soon, I hope.

So much choice for so many dietary requirements and you'd never know by taste alone! Quirky interior with lots of nooks and crannies, even a kiddies' den, very cosy. Great coffee and real tea!

Warm and friendly, family run cafe. Seating on ground level and also in the cellar which has an open fire and children's playing area.Menu is simple with good quality sandwiches, hot food and cakes. Coffee is above average; food is average.Would recommend for coffee and cake or a light lunch.

Popped in for an early lunch, was expecting standard café food. We had a sandwich and a sausage roll and both were beautiful, the sandwich was on light fresh homemade bread and the sausage roll is possibly the best I've ever had.

Been a treat watching this little spot grow ... coffee is delicious , great choice with plenty of vegan cakes too. Welcoming with good service , 2 coffees and 2 large slices of cake £10

Fabulous. Lovely, lovely staff. And it was lovely and cool sitting downstairs on one of the hottest days of the year. Pro tip 1: the daily sausage roll is an excellent choice. Pro tip 2: the very solid, thick, walls mean the strength WiFi downstairs isn't fantastic, so, instead of skimming Facebook, have a chat instead!
