Visited pub on 17th June after being recommended by friends. We were so disappointed. We were told one of the chefs hadn't turned in so there would be a wait. The fish and chips were black and definitely shouldn't have left the kitchen. Everything else was over cooked.

First visit. Dog friendly in the bar. Welcoming staff and a good quality Sunday lunch and dessert, reasonably priced, will be returning for sure.

Small traditional pub, restaurant. Good choice of meat for Sunday lunch. Service was a bit slow. Waited a while for drinks then food arrived after about half an hour.Meat was nicely cooked as were vegetables, but mash potato wasnt very hot.

Really cute dog-friendly pub in a lovely area. We just had a quick drink in the beer garden after a walk on the nearby trails with our shepherd, but there was a family inside with 2 small dogs, so I'm assuming they are fine with that. The place is shaped like a donut, so you want to go into the right door for the pub part. I saw a family get their Sunday roast and it looked really good!

Warm and welcoming staff in a lovely little pub with a homely feeling. Prices are fair, portions are a nice size and everything served in a timely manner. Cheesecake especially was delicious!

We stopped by with our friends and our dogs they have a German shepard and we have a collie cross. This is important as both dog were treated very well and were served their own meal which was lapped up. Excellent. There was quite a bit too chose from and on the menu and we all had something different and not one of us had anything to complain about the food was served by very friendly staff and tasted delicious 5 stars all round

Dining with 3 vegetarians, good selection for both meat and non meat eaters. Waitress very attentive and suggested a table move as a large party was due.Delicious coffee to follow.

Popped in today for lunch after a walk by the river. A few years since my last visit.Had hot chicken wholemeal bread roll with lots of gravy and excellent chips and side salad. Member of staff behind bar and serving food was friendly made sure everything was ok. Will be going back.

Very nice food and surroundings. We would certainly return. The only negative is that after our mains dishes were cleared away, no-one bothered to offer any further drinks or desserts. The place was only half-full, so no excuse there.Eventually, we gave up and left, to get the rest of our dinner at home. Its no big thing; but keep in mind, when you want more service here, shout up! Otherwise, you'll just sit there waiting, and waiting, and waiting.........

Called after a lovely walk in the woods for a coffee, my dog had a doggie sausage. Lovely outdoor area and very friendly waitress. We will definitely be back when we are in the area and have a meal.
