Saxon Inn in County Durham

Like warm meat swimming in liquid. Cold vegetables . So disappointing as before lockdown this was a regular venue for us with excellent food. Waitress amazing as usual - felt so sorry for her having to serve such rubbish food

Nice food and reasonably prices friendly staff

First time visiting with my wife and wee dog. Had a fabulous meal. Staff were very friendly will definitely come back again

Family down from Scotland staying here, went to see their room and it was really nice. Bright, clean and had everything you'd want. Went for a meal and the food was brilliant. Good portions, freshly cooked and the staff were great as well.

This is a really friendly pub with a relaxing atmosphere, they served really decent pub grub and the portions sizes are amazing.The rooms are clean with everything you could possibly need.The cooked breakfast was great.I would definitely stay here again & would recommended it to my friends & family.

Absolutely gorgeous in every respect! Arrived to a very friendly welcome and easy check in. Beautifully appointed room and lovely breakfast with a range of foods to chose from. Great situation to walk the 3 miles to Kynren and back opposite the centuries old Saxon church. A real treat and hope to return at some point in the future.b
