Seaton Lane Inn Restaurant in County Durham

Spent 2 nights here, great location. Check it in easy. Room a good size, bed huge, great, nice and clean. Staff great, we arrived on 23rd Feb and the guy on duty was great, no fuss but was very helpful. Food was amazing. Breakfast, be warned, it's big, will keep you going all day. Great parking at the rear. All round good visit to Seaham, beach is a 5 minute drive away and the town is good, plenty of places to eat, but why would you when the food at the hotel is delicious 😋

Just spent a nice quiet break away from home. Food lovely staff are so friendly can't do enough for the guests. Would definitely go back for either a meal or a stay over again

I so want to love this place - however the last twice we've been the food has been deffinatley under par. This last time there was a mix up with our orders and the portion sizes are tiny. A hot chicken sandwich with undressed limp salad no chips / crisps £10 it was 2 slices of very small thinly sliced bloomer and I wouldn't even say there was any more then half a chicken breast in!The beer Battered onion rings are amazing though and staff are friendly.

Eight of us went for lunch today, service really slow. A lot of what we wanted to order they had run out of. Only one beef dinner left and that was salty. No mushy peas for the fish dishes, no sticky toffee pudding, one cheese board left. Staff not very attentive and had to order at the bar

Came up for three nights as a birthday treat and found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. Food was fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Despite problems with supplies due to a storm the staff remained professional and helpful throughout. Would thoroughly recommend.

We just stayed for a couple nights with a toddler & dog in the family room. Decent size room for all of us and it was clean.All members of staff were really friendly & were always happy & helpful.The food was really yummy & good selection.Thank you for a lovely stay to the team :)

Absolutely loved our stay at the Seaton lane in .we were made welcome as soon as we arrived. The room was absolutely amazing super bed and comfortable the food was lovley cooked to perfection and most of all the staff were wonderful couldn't do enough for us .and it made all our worries more easier as it was dog friendly. My little pooch loved it .we travel up north 3 times a year to visit .this will definitely be our no 1 place to stay .first time here and again I Will say HIGHLY recommended. 😁❤

Had Sunday lunch here. Really lovely. Staff friendly and dogs are welcome and fussed over. Prices reasonable. We will definitely return.

Excellent. Returned today to give the place a 2nd try after the 1st try last summer didn't go too well.The place had lots of good reviews & had been recommended to us & today the food was delicious. Good value for money & the customer service was excellent. The pub itself is beautifully decked out & we'll definitely be recommending the Seaton Lane to others & returning again very soon. 5☆ Thanks

We had a meal, I had fish and chips with peas, the fish was uncooked, watery, more batter than fish. Chips overcooked, peas you would expect mushy but no garden peas which was the best part. I did complain he said it was cod, They only serve cod?? skinny cod didn't taste or looked liked cod!!! He offered a replacement which I took fish pie, which was better but I've had better. Very quiet table opposite the door on a cold night?Decor etc was nice, but not for me
