Nice food at a nice price, polite and friendly staff worth a visit. Great choice of dishes

Edit was totally ignored had a table booked after sitting for 20 minutes we had to order at the bar. When the food did arrive it wasn’t very good at all and the service was worse. After finishing the mains the table wasn’t cleared and nobody asked if we wanted dessert so I went to the bar and paid and didn’t even get a thank you. Needless to say I won’t be returning which is a shame as it used to be good.

Second visit. After first visit was very pleased with food and service. Had the mixed grill the first time and my grandson was looking forward to the same. However, it was a real disappointment. The meat and steak was very fatty and stringy, the steak being inedible. My granddaughter had the fish and chips and it was terrible. The fish is supposed to be cod as per the menu but the fish meat was brown and not white. Will not be paying another visit despite the reasonable prices.

A friend suggested this pub as it's only 5 mins from his house and did great food. My first time here and can't wait to come back. It has everything you need for a quick lunch or leisurely evening. Fantastic food, great beer and cosy with the wood fire going. The staff were friendly, chatty and generally just great at looking after us. This is what we like to call "a proper pub" and with a range of real ales on tap, I wish I lived nearer, so it could be my new fave local.

Staff were great sadly the food was not. Chips were grey and soggy I had chicken and bacon salad with bloomer bread.The chicken was gristly bacon was ok Bread was a slice from a packet with two stone cold portions of butter. Didn't bother with it. I know the food is very reasonably priced and the mixed grill was OK for the money. Mam in law enjoyed her fish..

Great welcoming place with friendly efficient staff. Food is typical pub grub fish and chips, mixed grill, mince and dumplings etc. Portions are large and food is very tasty. Haven't enjoyed a meal so much for months. Excellent.

A good while since Ive been here, so I was very pleasantly surprised to see the pub continues to thrive.Good honest pub grub at more than decent prices. I've paid double the price, in the past, for food of such quality, and very efficient table service, to boot.

Great place to eat and terrific value £10 for the mixed grill. Staff were terrific.

1st time iv been with my family and I 100% reccomend massive portions for great prices food was delicious
