Really enjoyed our meals and the service was very good and attentive. We will definitely go back again when in the area. The prices were very reasonable and not expensive. Overall the decor and cleanliness of the restaurant was good. The only down sides were the meringue dessert was disappointing and the pillar we were sat next to, needed a rub down.

A lovely pub to chill and relax in, the staff are really attentive and fitted us in twice without a reservation. The young lady looking after me and my partner last night was really helpful and chatty. The food is great, we had pizza dishes and the pasta dishes which were really tasty. If we were in the area longer I would have gone for a steak. Highly recommend

Absolutely delicious Sunday lunch today. Loved the way the meal comes plated - no passing around dishes of veggies. All cooked perfectly.Great choice of good wines. Carafe of water brought to table. Busy vibrant restaurant.Waiting staff pleasant and attentive.We will certainly come back.

Firstly, I cannot fault the food. The meal was very good. Everything was going great until desert. While waiting on our desert the Hostess came and told us she needed the table back and that we were more than welcome to finish our drinks at the bar. We told her we were still waiting on desert, the desert we had ordered 20minutes prior.All of a sudden our desert miraculously appears.We ate our deserts and the next waitress to walk by I asked for the bill, the bill arrives, I place the cash on top, the waitress comes for the cash and informs us that she needs the table back in 5minutes!!!!!Read the situation! We have paid, chances are we are about to leave!!You have just turned a really nice dinner experience sour. We had arrived on time, we were seated 20minutes late and the rest was down to the restaurants service.It takes a little more than being able to seat people and bring out plates to be a Hostess/Waitress. Ability to read people and read the room make all the difference between 5stars and 0stars.

We had a great time here yesterday! The food was delicious, and great value for money! The lovely waitress Sarah was very accommodating, polite and helpful. She recommended the Butchers Cuts Board, and we got a lobster as an add-on. We shared this dish between the two of us, but it can easily be shared between 3-4 people. Would recommend 100%, we'll definitely be coming back!

Brilliant sunday dinner and cheesecake. Had to ask for takeaway box as portion on dinner was to big. But positive thought, free lunch next day.

Food was excellent staff went above and beyond to help my wife and I went for our wedding anniversary brilliant we will be visiting again

Definitely one of the best steakhouses in and around Durham. I shared the 'Butchers Cut Board' and it was fantastic. Will certainly be revisiting soon.
