Teesdale Hotel in County Durham

Very, very nice indeed, a groovy little bar with some very pleasant and courteous barmaids.They had shelves and shelves of all kinds of bottles. 🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾Way higher than the barmaids could reach. That however was not a problem as somebody had come up with a solution.They had a metal bar that they could use to slide a ladder along so they could climb up to get whatever bottle they needed.I went there as ever at the end of a day's walking. In an area that I 1st went to when I was 16. It was a working holiday where we were repairing part of the path on the Pennine Way long distance trail.It was a brilliant week and we got the work done, a day early. Even more important I just fell in love with the whole area. I have been there many times since it is somewhere that for me is very special.The weather was far better than forecast which was good as well.❤🙂❤😃❤🌝❤⛅️☀️🌤☀️

Review is for the restaurant service. Food was palatable but not particularly tasty, we had heard it used to be better so maybe they're still regrouping after the pandemic. Service was quick, prices reasonable and the beer was good. Lovely village BTW with lots of walking and sightseeing opportunities nearby.

Very friendly staff. Welcome dogs. Food was good. Definitely going again.

lovely staff and really nice food .Room was dated but fine the only downside was the mattress it needs a new one and this was the only negative .we had a lovely stay in this lovely village.

Had an absolutely fantastic meal at the weekend. Really excellent quality - the chef and her/his crew obviously know a thing or two about good local produce and great flavour combinations. Top notch and at a very reasonable price. All of the staff very friendly - a nice relaxed atmosphere. Keep up the good work!

A very popular hotel in Middleton-inTeesdale in the heart of this beautiful area which makes it a perfect location for exploring.A well run establishment serving great beer and delicious food from an extensive menu.Highly recommended by visitors and locals alike.

We're just back from a lovely 3 night stay at the Teesdale Hotel on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Everything was superb! The staff are friendly and helpful, the room (whilst dated, but we thought that added to the charm) was warm and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was amazing, like having a deep tissue massage! The real stand out here though was the food. Completely faultless. We didn't have a bad thing to say about any one of the meals we had, other than we were sad when they were finished! We stayed whilst we went to the nearby Grassholme Observatory which was a wonderful experience and then a lovely, warm bed to go back to. Truly excellent and we will definitely go back.

Called in for a drink staff very friendly, drinks very reasonable price. We sat outside with the dog, meals looked very nice. Well worth a visit.

Stayed in a family room, clean, big space. Staff polite and friendly. Had evening meal and beakfast- nice food. Daughter has a food allergy this was taken seriously. Great location, if you want a clean safe space for a family of 4 then would highly recommend.
