The Bay Horse in County Durham

Dropped into this place for a bite to eat as we were staying at the Redworth hotel near by and wow the food and the service was outstanding. Kelly couldn't do enough for me as I am gluten free and asked if I could mix items up on the menu. The fresh chunky crispy chips were amazing and homemade coleslaw so compliments to the chef so I will look forward to visiting again soon Thank you for making us feel welcome. 😁

Nice pub, good selection of beers, good atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

First time visiting the Bay Horse Inn for Sunday lunch and it's was very good .Lovely old Inn ,staff all friendly and helpful and the carvery was very tasty with plenty of choice and very good value with a normal size lunch priced at £8.95 .

The Bay Horse Inn is a classic example of a pub which could be great, but falls well below the standard seen in other towns, especially up Teesdale way. Whilst the location is lovely, the decor is extremely dated and the food is bland, greasy and overall unpleasant.

Really lovely! Food was so good, chips to die for, amazing steak too 😋

Service staff were lovely, professional & efficient. I didn't enjoy my meal but rest of family enjoyed theirs. I felt a tad off so maybe just me. I would go back.

First time we have tried this place, the carvery has amazing choices and the portion size is unreal! You won't be disappointed. Good quality fresh food and lovely staff. We will definitely return again! A*** Sunday roast!!!!

Friendly staff, good value tasty food and well kept beer. What's not to like. The burgers are excellent. They're not on the menu but the fish goujon and chicken goujon basket meals are pretty cheap and make great bar snacks.

Absolutly amazing!The staff were lovely! It was quiet when we went (thursday for lunch), the place was very clean and laid out lovely, with adequate room to social distance.The food was amazing! They had the BEST onion rings I have ever had! The sizes were very generous and I couldn't finish my meal. A lovely choice to choose from, not loads and loads of options but I found that better, limited vegetarian options but would still go back with my vegetarian sister in the future. Very good price as the quality was amazing!They are doing the Eat out to Help out which you need to book for as they are already filling up quickly, we went on a Thursday so not the offer day and was shocked with how cheap the food was for how much we got!We will definitely be going back!
