The Boat Club Cocktail Bar & Eatery in County Durham

Our first visit here. Friendly and efficient service, excellent sharing platter with good advice about sides. Beautifully served and tasty food. We cleared the lot! Lovely views across the river too.

Great fillet steak. Service excellent, nice atmosphere in a great location. Must be my 6th visit by now and enjoy it every time. Great sticky toffee pudding as well

I'd quite like to give this 3.5 stars but I wouldn't round up to 4.Staff and restaurant were great. Friendly staff and good service. But the food just didn't amaze me.The sharer steak board was £60. You got to try four 3oz cuts of meat each and it came with 4 sides. The sides weren't huge but they were enough. It was all perfectly fine, but it just didn't taste amazing. I've had more enjoyable steaks at steak night at a pub. If I could, I'd say food 2.5 stars, staff and restaurant 4 stars. Probably wouldn't go back as you can get better for cheaper.

The chicken parmo was AMAZING. It was so juicy and so tender!! Chips were tasty too. Went so well with the garlic dip. Good food with a view. Will definitely come again!

Had bottles brunch with the girls- was amazing start to finish. Food was gorgeous, drinks were such good quality and were allowed as many as we wanted. Service was perfect Lauren was amazing!!! Couldn't rate highly enough

Great location and food. It's not getting 5/5 because of the tip that's added on at the end. No to tips, pay your employees better!

Visited Durham for my 60th Birthday 14th July, having been born at Hardwick Hall. With my son and grandchildren. We called at The Boat Club for some lunch while in the city. I am disabled and use a mobility scooter. The staff where friendly and very accommodating. The food was amazing and even accommodated my granddaughter who is a picky eater. I am going back to Durham in October for a longer weekend so will definitely be making another visit to The Boat Club.

Food was fabulous, I did not expect it to be so nice. I'm use to going there for a night out. Called in from a walk along Durham River. Duck wraps were beautiful and my friend had a burger and said it was the best burger they have ever had. Would highly recommend.

Was really disappointed here unfortunately used to always love the boat club but first time going since it become a tomahawk steakhouse.....i opted for the 12oz sirloin at £28 plus a peppercorn sauce for £3 firstly the steak was full of grizzle the peppercorn sauce may as well of been water it was that runny with no actual peppercorns in it.Drinks wise I got a pint of corona which tasted funny lets say flat.... So I opted for a peroni when this come @£5 a pint and the glass must have just come out the dishwasher the pint was absolutely roasting and I didn't even drink it.Im never one to leave a bad review but unfortunately this topped me off last night and I wouldn't recommend it.

Food as always was tasty. We went for a birthday. Where the staff arranged balloons for the birthday girl. All measures needed have been taken in the restaurant to adhere to COVID19 safety requirements. Another very enjoyable visit.
