The Burrow in County Durham

Warm and friendly service in this cute cafe - even the crockery is pretty! Lovely food too - best scones I've ever had. We were well fed and well looked after. Highly recommended.

Had a bacon and sausage sandwich here while my daughter was doing an Easter themed craft event.Bought some delicious chocolate tray bakes and cakes to bring home too.Staff here were lovely. They were very polite with good manners; which can be a rare quality to find.Definitely be back again.

The Burrow is a fantastic tearoom, one of the best in Durham. The food selection, both savoury and sweet is great, with excellent flavour. The interior space is decorated nicely with big spacious tables that can accommodate large parties.

Very friendly, the folk and acoustic evening every Wednesday is well worth a visit

Lovely little place. Attended here for a private function for Afternoon Tea and would definately go back. They have baby changing facilities too which is a bonus! Ive found alot of places lately don't have them. Food and service was brilliant.

Went there today( been twice before)..open 10am till 3pm. Very nice place..tastefully decorated and very clean. Nice open plenty of space feel about the place. Staff very polite and friendly. Food excellent..and the tea was one of the best cuppa's ive had for a while. They have a large selection of teas all competitively priced. They are also licensed should you require something stronger. All in all a very satisfying experience...well worth a try. The only negative is the parking or the lack of it. But dont be put off by that.

Found this café yesterday. It's lovely, friendly, cosy. The coffee is great and the menu extensive. Very tasty indeed. Highly in recommended.

An absolute hidden gem! The food is just fantastic! Really tasty, and the kids sandwich was a hit too. The cakes look fantastic and tasted great too. The chocolate and banana loaf comes highly recommended. Lovely setting too, nice and clean. The staff were very friendly also.

First time here, didn't even know it existed! Can't recommend this delightful little tea room enough! My new favourite place by far & it serves prosecco & wine... Absolute bonus. The atmosphere is fabulous & the staff that were serving today were second to none. Well done ladies.
