Frozen poor pub food at premium prices. Gutted by my experience as the staff and the look and feel is spot on but spoilt but the food. For the price I would be expecting quality delicious homemade pub food or at least home cooked chips... Nope everything was frozen. My mail meal inedible. Very poor and I would advise you keep driving past the Chester Moor

Came on Easter Monday and it was great. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good food and spot-on beer. Had range of options for vegetarians which was helpful. Quality was superb - great seafood cocktail starter for example.

We'll priced food with a set meal. I had the fried vegetables parcels. More sweet chill sauce would have been better wasn't on the set meal.I had fish n chips mushy peas/garden peas. The chip were out of this world. Best I've seen, had a nice crunch as if three time fried/cooked.To finish with chocolate fudge cake with ice-cream.The refurbishment of restaurant and bar, plus outside looks nice and will be good for summer.

First time visiting since the refurb and the place looks amazing! The team are fantastic the new manager is so friendly and goes above and beyond to help … we had afternoon tea and asked for a few sandwiches plain as my daughter is fussy and he bent over backwards to accommodate. The afternoon tea was amazing especially for the price sandwiches were fresh and so tasty and the cream scones were to die for! What a placeTotal hidden gemWell done!

Visited for some lunch pub is beautiful and the staff were great. Can't wait for some good weather to sit out in the garden all day!

Not great. Went after they just reopened last Wednesday on the Sunday following for the roast. I had a lamb shank, and my partner had the beef. When my lamb came out I cut through it and it was still raw the inside of the meet was that cold it still felt like it was fresh out of the fridge. In my whole time going to a restaurant I have never been served anything below room temperature. That can't be safe. Anyway I asked for it to be exchanged and I did not get an apology. I then had to wait while my partner ate for my lamb to come back. It finally arrived once she had finished and the centre was still cold. You would think a lamb shank would be cooked low and slow so there would be no chance of a frozen centre but not the case here. The setting and the restaurant itself is nice but the service and food quality needs some work. Hopefully when the staff get used to the new set up it improves. Don't order the lamb.

This was our first visit for a few years! The same basic layout inside but improved decor gives it a better atmosphere. The service was very good and friendly. The menu is typical pub grub and our meal was very enjoyable.

Food and service were outstanding! Had the burger and lasagne, home made chips, slaw and salsa. The meals were outstanding but the meals seen going to other tables will ensure we return to try them. We'll be back, thanks guys!
