Absolutely amazing, great homemade food and staff were really helpful with dietary needs, as one if us couldn't have milk in food.

Disappointed. Many years since I was there and chose to go based on my memory of an excellent Sunday lunch however the meal I had failed to match my memory. Much of it appeared to have been prepared a long time in advance

Staff friendly but Sunday lunch carvery was very disappointing. Limited vegetables, small portion of meat. Not the worst but lots better out there!

We had our Christmas Fayre meal here on the 16/12/21 starters, main and dessert were outstanding, fantastic staff and made us very welcome. Merry Christmas and a fantastic New Year. ( We will be back)

Arrived 12.10pm on a Sunday, which totally understandably is a busy day. Called before and they said they had no tables which is fair enough, but that we could sit at the bar. Waited 5 minutes at the entrance part and not one of the about 6 staff who walked past us even made eye contact let alone askef if they could help. So we went to the bar, again, 3 members of staff behind the bar and couldn’t even be bothered to say ‘will be with you in a second’, and the woman at the till was too busy talking to her mate after he’d ordered that the table we were going to sit at (the last one) was taken. Went to the Poachers instead which although it was extremely busy, we were happy to wait as a staff member was polite and took our drinks order and said we could sit and enjoy the sun whilst we waited for a table. Won’t bother coming here again.

Beautiful carvery but unfortunately they have been closed through the day when we have turned up through not have a chef and staff

We have been coming for Sunday lunch now for a few years now. Always the best service and quality food. We were not in today. Waited over 10.mins for our drinks to arrive, I asked for gluten free gravy. When the meals came out, I did get gluten free gravy and Yorkshire puddings. My husband is not gluten free. We shared the puddings and gravy. No serving spoons came with the veg. Sorry. Not happy today.

Nice character pub with restaurant. Local pub grub very good quality - large portions. Spacious car parking. Large menu selections. Excellent prices- great value. Recommended.
