The Cod Fry in County Durham

Ordered house special wrap and cod bite meal for delivery. Meat inside wrap was stone cold, chicken was burnt and dry, never received cod bite meal, instead got empty kids meal box, small chips and tub of garlic sauce. Complete joke, not the first time food has arrived late or cold but after this won't be returning

Bad experience. Ordered via Uber eats. The app said it would take 5 - 25 mins to arrive. 30 mins goes by and the app just says ‘order may be with you shortly’ but with no updates to the estimated delivery time. I ended up calling after an hour of waiting since I ordered. The man who answered the phone was very rude. When I explained the situation he told me very shortly “yes I cancelled your order on my side because we have no drivers. Bye” he didn’t apologise at all. He should definitely had informed the app that he’d cancelled my order. Because I’ve also been charged the order amount and haven’t been repaid.

Food came was freezing cold no curry sauce when phoning about it guy was arrogant. Would give 0 if possible.

As I was a visitor to the area I called in to get some fish and chips. It was a huge portion and I have a big appetite but even I struggled to finish it. It was well worth the £6 The fish was as advertised skinless and boneless it just fell apart. If I am ever up this way again I will be calling in again

Food was 35 mins late didn't get any message or call to say they was running late. When food got here was stone cold so didn't eat it. No need for it. Very poor service. Won't be ordering from here ever again.

Super Fish and Chips always cooked fresh to order...

We hadn't visited the area for several years but remembered having enjoyed the fish and chips. So, we decided to visit.Whilst in the shop, one of the assistants put chips onto of a kebab, instead of salad.The other assistant stood and picked the chips out of the kebab and put them back with the freshly cooked chips.My cheese patty was basically potato and rather tasteless although the portions of chips were large. Too many staff, getting in each others way.Not as good as I expected!

Fish was cooked fresh on the spot. Large sized fish enough for two people and the chips were fresh and hot too. Delicious.

I'd not even give it a 1 star. Ordered food from here simple chips and sausage Chips and corned beef patty with gravy. And I've never been given food so cold. Upon calling them the owner went mental with them in shop and offered something free next time. Why on earth would I want something free next time? First time and you let us down. Won't be a next timeDisgusting

We ordered our food at 9:30 on the just eat app, then called the shop just to confirm our delivery time. We were told that it was on its way so wouldn't be long and we were rudely rushed off the phone. At 10:15 we are STILL waiting as they CLOSE at 10pm, I had tried calling them at least 10 times before they shut, and no one answered the phone. We still don't have our food or no where it is and the payment has been taken.
