Lovely quirky pub, staff very friendly, we stayed over, room needed attention, especially the en suite, toilet wouldn't flush, shower head missing, no breakfast, we found out in the morning that the place was closing and we were the last guests, another covid hit business 😒

Was recently served the worst pint of Guinness I’ve ever had. Sent it back 3 times and ended up giving in and just drinking it. Also charged £3.00 for a kids blackcurrant and water. Have been coming here for years and had some memorable times, including our sons Christening party but, to see it decline like this is very sad. Won’t be making much of an effort to go again, in the future, which is a real shame

Food was amazing. Triple cooked chips were very nice too, We were well looked after by pearl and the team. Lovely atmosphere and delicious home cooked food.

Great cosy and welcoming pub! Park just opposite for free in the evening, or near now closed DLI for free.Very stylish decoration, giving new life to the vintage furniture, yet not looking shabby. The staff is very helpful. Can make you your favourite drinks, alcoholic or just very good quality tea. Haven't tried food yet, but I shall soon.Love this place!

Lovely staff and pub and would recommend but the stay was very mediocre. Room needs updating etc. Noisy water system, tiny TV, lights not working, cheap spring bed, peeling wallpaper and not cheap for a night either.

Sat here now in the garden house inn. Just had a sundays dinner and it was perfect. Tasted unreal. Meat was spot on veg was perfect and gravy tasted like heaven. Ive even drank the rest out ther gravy cup. 😁

Over half of the menu was not available, including all vegetarian options. Service was slow and there were some significant delays between different peoples food arriving. The till overcharged the desserts compared to what was specified on the menu and random other drinks orders had been included in our bill (that we had to have removed). Have had a lovely time there previously but was incredibly disappointed with this latest trip.

We booked a table thinking it'd be so busy, unfortunately we were the only couple in the restaurant area.The staff were friendly & attentive, the pizzas were tasty albeit a tad expensive. The menu only offered pizza, had we realised that before our visit we probably would have chosen elsewhere.The chairs are are little uncomfortable as they've no pads/ padding.Will we visit again? Mmm, maybe?If a more varied menu is on offer & maybe some quiet music in the background to give a better ambience.
