The Golden Fry in County Durham

We are happy to travel for their first class fish, generous serving of chips and tasty kebabs. The cheerful, friendly service always brightens our evening when we go. Whenever we've need something out of the ordinary (like fish cooked without batter), we just need to ring and let them know and it's ready by the time we get there. Great people serving tasty food, and plenty of it.

Menu had lots of choice and staff really friendly and helpful on the phone. Prices are very reasonable. While chip shop items were great, the SF chicken and pizza weren't as good. Would highly recommend going for chip shop items.

17/04/2021. i rang golden fry, man aswered, i asked what hot and spicy pizzas he did. he said hot and spicy,contained beef so i said no any others he said ham and mushroom, i said no. any with pepperoni tom cheese peppers chilli and jalopeno's ? no but i will make you what you want. so i turn up at shop to pick up pizza, no dips , no chips just a pizza was charged £7.90 . got home looked at the menu i had picked up and he had made me an inferno costing £6.70p so why was i robbed blind and charged more. rang her and she said cos he made me a peperoni pizza and added jalopenos at a cost of £1-20 well that's not what i asked for i asked for hot and spicy.pizza. i'm a pensioner, had 3 small pieces of green pepper on it processed cheese covered it and few pieces of pepperoni, very tasteless and bland thin sharp crust, pizza dough not fresh horrid, will never go back ever again to golden fry annfield plain

The biggest fish suppers I've ever seen. I had a salad box with the home made special chilli sauce. Delicious. With chips of course. Lovely big portions.

Delicious. Food is always cooked fresh and is absolutely amazing. My family and I have never been anywhere else once we began using this chippy, my little girl loves coming with me to see the lady owner who is so friendly. The owners are so hard working and the food is a testament to this.
