Food was delicious. Staff very friendly recommended for sitting in or take away.

March 2022 Lovely meal tonight as always. Popadoms, starter, main with rice and nan bread and a drink all under £15. Staff lovely and good service.

Absolutely top notch food, a really unusual menu and highly recommended. Staff were really friendly. Couldn't believe my colleague and I were the only ones in the restaurant. Although when asked they did say deliveries were through the roof.

Very tasty paneer, chickpea and spinach curry, along with delicious hariali chicken dish. Fresh poppadoms and yummy onion bargies. As a vegetarian I was super happy with my meal.

Was there last night.still my favourite by far.me and the missus well pleased.the chicken tikka jalfrezi to die for and the fiance really enjoyed her masala dish.even nann and chips and pilau rice delicious.will definately be back asap.been using golden Gate for years and never had a poor meal .

Ordered at 5pm tonight for collection and on collecting the order the rude, abusive and aggressive manager stated we would not be getting our food! When trying to call back to work out what was going on he threatened to call the police.Have been going here for the last 10 years and always loved the food despite the ignorant staff and the disgustingly shabby restaurant.The restaurant is always full of flies and the staff aren't accomadating.Rice asked for without onions always contains onions.The soft drinks are flat and warm.Never have a card machine working and don't inform you of this when you place orders.Falsely advertised on the meerkat meals and then refused to do the deal.Delivery has taken over 3 hours previously and because we refused to pay for the food (we had ordered pizza and finished it by this point!) they called the police on us!And the management have this evening threatened us stating that they know where I live, I have two young children do they really think this is acceptable!

I go here often as the food is good, constant and well presented. When I first went to try it, it was more of a takeaway with restaurant as an aside. Over the years the owner has improved the restaurant side of it to create a better ambience. It's well worth having a meal there, as I said the food is good and owner goes out of his way to make you welcome. I go about one a month now, I like it so much.
