Was taken for lunch today, we hadn't booked but warm welcome on arriving. Lovely interior, mixed varied menu- I chose flatbread and my daughter a Caesar salad. Both meals were tasty and well presented, I'd say good value for money. Friendly ,helpful staff. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend

Food here was tasty and I really enjoyed the choice on the menu. Great if your heading out for some lunch. The Service could of been better. We spent a lot of time waiting to order trying to catch someone's attention and similar issues when paying the bill. Would still recommend though, just not if your in a hurry.

Usually love the lamp room food is excellent but today we were turned away for a coffee at 3:30 despite the fact it says online they don’t close until 5pm. Quite disappointing as we travelled 20 mins each way to come as we love the atmosphere, weren’t given a reason just turned away and said they weren’t serving. I work in a cafe myself so I understand if it was closer to closing or if we were given a reason but 1.5 hours til close and we couldn’t even have a coffee seems ridiculous.

Always an amazing breakfast. The food is always of a high standard as is the quality of service they provide.

Went for breakfast yesterday with the family. Fantastic venue, food and service were great. Would definitely go again if in the area.

I'll start by saying that the service was faultless. However my partners first dish was sent back as the crispy belly pork wasn't crispy even though it had been deep fried. Secondly the mash was supposed to have roast garlic and bacon in, it didn't.. Thirdly the red wine gravy was blatantly made with granuals. My partners second dish that we sent back was from the daily specials board. A Reuben Sandwich on ciabatta, it came on sour dough to start with then when it didn't taste right we opened it up to find cheap parma ham.... So they gave us pork not beef in a Reuben, thankfully we are not Jewish.. Another dish sent back. By this point we just want to leave so my partner doesn't bother ordering anything else. Finally and here is the kicker by the time I got to the end of my muscles I'd found two of them with beards still attached, no big deal I thought. That was on the Thursday before I had to spend all of Saturday in bed or on the toilet with terrible diarrhea and sickness. I know it is difficult to establish where food poisoning comes from but between Tuesday and Saturday the only difference between what my partner and I ate were the muscles. However what I will say is that the front of house was amazing and I must also add that the entire "meal" was gratis.

We had breakfast here this morning and it was excellent. The poached eggs were just right and everything was really tasty. It's not a cheap option for breakfast in Seaham but I'd very much recommend it.

Fantastic tapas! Went there with my mother not expecting anything special and we just could not believe how good the tapas was! Great value for the money and a real effort. We will be back!

Tapas is served on a Thursday to Saturday and it is very very good. Five star recommendation for the tandoori scotch egg and the cauliflower wings!

Been to the lamp room quite a few times but this was first time getting the takeout breakfast. Very good. Gipsy eggs where amazing and a really good breakfast bun too. Not the cheapest but as the quality is so good it is definitely value for money in my eyes. Will definitely be back soon.
