The Moorings in County Durham

Just wanted to say what fabulous food you can get at The Moorings Hotel @ Pelton Fell. BUT not only that but the staff are amazing. A huge thank you to Heather and Ashleigh (and another young waitress, sorry didn't get her name) Our meal was soo good but unfortunately my friend had "a bit of a turn" and we needed an ambulance. These ladies stepped up and got us through the trauma brilliantly. THANK YOU SOO MUCH.WE WILL BE MAKING MORE VISITS THAT'S A PROMISE! Xx

Had a mother's Day meal here. Girl who served us was super. Food was, not so good. I think it was possibly time and day, but would not rush back

Did not stay just had food ordered the lamb rump with broad beans and potatoes it was very greasy so could only eat some of it did not get asked if meal was OK after I left half of it

Sunday lunch was very good. Service very slow. Crumble and custard very disappointing, custard not hot, oat topping not crisp. Also need to look at bills as didn't charge for 2 courses, did them separately thus potentially over charging.

Beautiful food even if we waited a little to long but to be fair it was extremely busy at the time .and we did have entertainment to keep us occupied. Great service to.

Went for meal on Saturday night, loved it! Staff were amazing, food gorgeous, excellent value for money. Will definitely return, so many things on menu I need to try. Thank you to the staff for making the evening so great 👍👍👍

Fantastic restaurant with a delicious main menu and special offers we absolutely love the Sunday Lunch and through the week fillet Steak with peppercorn sauce or Luxury fish pie is our go to favourites. With the welcoming atmosphere and really polite friendly staff making us feel very comfortable and at ease makes us want to return a couple of times a week

We visited today and the food was absolutely amazing. Fabulous team and excellent customer service. The woman who waited on us was really friendly and so was the young waiters too. Will definitely be coming back.

We visited today for the first time. The service was outstanding! The setting was lovely, clean and welcoming and the waiter was a genuinely lovely man. The food was delicious, and very reasonably priced. We all chose a dessert, although we were so stuffed that we couldn't all finish them. We will definitely be back.
