Lovely coffee and breakfast. Great service.

Room was nice and clean and modern.Unfortunately, it turns out our room is frequently used by scientists to test how objects and people cope under conditions similar to the sun.Our room was the oven and we were the unwilling bread.It would have been colder to nip down to the local kebab shop and take a quick dip in their chip fryer.Fans must be at a premium in the north east. As a southerner, I feel I was more prepared for the heat but a cold-conditioned, frostbitten northern would probably have melted on the spot.In the morning, after having not slept at all. I noticed that there was a fella in the corner of our room selling ice creams and dolphin excursions.My point is that the room was obscenely hot and opening the windows did nothing but satiate the mosquito overlords. Nice room though

A very good Sunday lunch. The food was cooked perfectly, massive Yorkshire pudding. The portions are large,and sadly left no room for a desert.We've been many times before and had food from the menu, which is always good. The staff are attentive and friendly.We live nearby so it's a gem for us.

Called in for a drink and takeaway dinners after hearing excellent feedback from friends. Found pub warm, welcoming and friendly. Staff were polite and helpful. Pub was full and customers were enjoying their socialising. Atmosphere was top notch. My wife and I felt at home even though it was our first visit. The pub has something for every age group, food menu was extensive and we will let all our family in on our find and we'll definitely be back soon. Only gripe is no real ale on tap? John smiths and Guinness only but loads of lager choices. Get a porter or Stout in and ill be there everyday.

Fabulous Sunday lunch would recommend it the Yorkshire puddings are huge and you can order extra roast potatoes as well all together brilliant 😁😁😁😁

Really nice meal, £60 including a tip, 3 courses, 2 pints of Moretti each, great waitress service... could not ask for more..
