The Royal Oak in County Durham

Went to Royal oak for an evening meal, food and service were great and very friendly staff, will be back.We did not use the hotel so cant comment on that side but i have heard the rooms are very nice.

Great luncheon and good beer served by friendly staff, what more could I want?👍

Excellent pub and b&b. Room we had was perfect with a newly done bathroom. Staff great and food was excellent. Dog friendly too.

Comfortable, large room with big TV and good bathroom. Tea and coffee plus biscuits AND 2 bottles of mineral water.Breakfast and dinner were super and very reasonable too. Friendly and helpful host.Excellent value for money.

You can't find better service, atmosphere or people. In my opinion The Royal Oak was home away from home. 5 🌟 in my book! If DL15 calls us again we'll be back. Wow what a fantastic overnight stay at the Royal Oak, from the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bedding was really good quality. A Very relaxed stay and the full English breakfast was perfect. Very reasonably priced.Exceptionally friendly helpful staff. Will definitely recommend to friends. Thank you so much

Great place to stay, clean & comfortable bed, like a home from home. Lovely friendly staff. You can have a Huge breakfast if needed, it'll set you up til late dinner time.

Stayed here while working nearby could not ask for a better experience Room was clean and comfortable bed meant I had the best nights sleep in ages. All the staff have a great attitude but the owners Ian and Sonia work really hard to provide an excellent service.Food was really good. Top Marks guys enjoyed immensely,will definitely be back!
