Lovely café! My first stop in Durham! Rapid service and lovely food. I enjoyed a fry up!

Went to Treat for an early Sunday morning breakfast. We had Eggs Benedict and a 6 item breakfast, both were delicious

Wonderful visit. Staff friendly and very helpful throughout the visit. Brilliant menu for someone who has lots of intolerances. The coffee wasn't good but I will give 5 stars as the delicious food compensated for it.Will come again!

I can't believe I lived in Durham for four years and never visited this place. Thirty years later, our day trip was enhanced no end by the delicious food here. I had the full vegetarian breakfast and every aspect of it was spot on. Perfectly cooked fried eggs, generous chunks of halloumi, lovely toast, beans, mushroom, veggie sausage and a choice of juice all at a bargain price.

Had high hopes for this place, but was left fairly disappointed. The cake was stale, the vegan burger was very plain and the rest was not too great. It might have been an off day so I’ll give it another chance and see if it changes. I also think the interior could be improved with a bit of redecorating and rearranging.

This place is wonderful! Really friendly staff, great atmosphere, coffees and then some very hearty vegetarian breakfasts came out very swiftly indeed even though it was pretty busy! So impressed.

Absolutely loved it here had breakfast then called back at t.time for tea and cake . Lovely friendly staff . Great decor in the cafe . Food delicious and really good prices. We'll worth a visit

Great place for high tea. Quality sandwiches, scones, pastries and tea. They also have delivery which is great! Only reason why I'm only giving 4 stars is that they forgot to include one of our teas, but things happen and it was still a fantastic meal. :)
