Food was great. Staff were polite and helpful. Pub was clean and well managed. Downside toilets were upstairs and could use a bit of a face lift.

Staff are helpful and work hard, but the atmosphere is a really somber one. Great for if you want a quiet chat but not somewhere I'd go other than while waiting for a bus

Good always to a decent standard whenever I come here. Never wait too long. My 10 year old son loves coming here, we've been coming together for 4/5 years &never had a bad meal yet. I absolutely love whetherspoons chips 🤣 they're so good. Nice big breakfast. Lovely yummy pizzas. My son loves the bolognese & choc brownie pudding

Have been a regular over the years and pop in for a breakfast after night shift... NEVER AGAIN. Asked sullen bar maid if I could borrow a pen. This middle aged creature didn't even look up from her laptop she was looking at on the bar! . Just " I ain't got one" .. am like excuse me where are your customer service skills. I have worked in hospitality most my life and am astounded that wether spoons would employ such a sullen unhelpful, rude person. Usually they have nice happy smiling staff. They have charged my phone in the past and nothing has been a trouble. I probably spend £30 quid a week in the place.. no more they have lost my custom for good. Disgusting manners and poor service . Puts the pretty brunette who is always there working hard and smiling ,,(but not to day to shame). If I was her I would find something better ! Ironic thing is my manager used to be the area manager for wether spoons!!

The staff are friendly and the service is fairly quick, but the portion size and the quality of the food on offer isn't great. I feel if this was rectified this place would be a much better place to visit.

Went for a quick pint and to hide from the lite rain. Only a small pub tbh..seating is the main problem due to its size.its long and narrow. The loos are up the stairs , which is common practice for a weathspoons / toilets are ALWAYS tucked awsy up or down many steps..The staff were very nice and drinks cheap enough..

Not the best Wetherspoon in terms of the eating areas and atmosphere but the fish and chips was up to the expected standard and worth ordering. We preferred the other Wetherspoon in Durham, The Bishops Mill, but both are very popular.

Staff are really overall decent people, pub needs a major refurbishment. One of the smallest outlets I have been in for a City Centre. Maybe should look for a more suitable location in Durham City. (Bishops Mill in Walkergate) May struggle for decent location elsewhere in City boundaries. As said lovely staff.
