Always busy and very noisy!! Good selection of beers, ales and decent prices. Clean and very light and airy compared to some other Weatherspoons pubs.

Visited here on Friday but forgot it was half term so after expecting it to be on the quiet side it was packed and noisy, however our meal of cod, chips and mushy peas was worth every penny, only next time I might order the smaller portion. The menu was quite extensive, we will be back but probably in the middle of the week and looking forward to a nice warm summer where we will explore the beer garden. Well worth the money

Sorry, this is not a review for you. This is a cry for help ... I am Ukrainian. I want peace in our country. I want my children not to know war. I want to turn back time ... I want to live in my house and enjoy every day, whatever it may be, as long as there is no war. I don't want to hear sirens and see rockets overhead. I beg you, stop this madness! Innocent people are dying, children are dying. Russian troops are heartlessly firing on civilians. People are losing relatives, housing and jobs. People are losing their lives .... Help us ... Close the sky over Ukraine!

It was really not too bad and quiet but some people prefer to go to quiet places rather than busy ones especially if food is served as well

·

Very busy with a good atmosphere. Typical lloyds Wetherspoons and no bad thing.

·

Absolutely appalling service from the bar manager Leanne yesterday. Waited 15mins to be served. Other people getting served straight away. Mentioned this and why we had been waiting only to get the response I dont like your attitude I'm stopping your drink. Simple question asked and a Absolute snotty response and we have the attitude problem. Some bar manager you are! Absolute joke.

Probably the best Wetherspoons in the area. It’s got a very nice rooftop beer garden terrace, and was recently refurbished to a high standard. Staff are pleasant and efficient. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Visited about 3.30pm and not very busy. Chose the 3 sharing platters for £11.35 plus drinks. Served quickly and all very tasty. Drinks well priced and overall very good value for money. Staff very friendly and attentive.

·

Plenty of room, cheap drinks, local ales, good quality, inexpensive food and friendly staff. Ticks all the right boxes. Best pub in Chester-le-Street.

·

Cheap and cheerful, food is palatable and beer is of a very high standard, service is good and pleasant with only a small inconvenience with having to get your own coffee. But would not dream of criticism as I could have walked 200m and had the same for three times the price! Keep up the good work.
