I can only say that the staff were very good ,and the meals were served in good time.The price of the meals in my honest opinion were rather high.But the reason for the two star review was that I and my party had to eat our meals with a barking dog vocalising constantly all the way through next to us.With another dog behind us with hungry eye's.Not a single word from the staff to politely ask the owner if he could possibly try and quieten the dog down.Dog friendly not for me ever again.

Came here on a Saturday night for an evening meal. Went for a nice low fat fish and veg option. It was very tasty and fresh. Someone else got the pie and featherblade beef, both said their meals were lovely. Good portion sizes, not too much and not too little. A bit pricey for food though, but everywhere is like that now.The service was good, nice pleasant staff. We didn't wait too long for food either.Overall pleased and would go again.

Lovely bit of grub! I was served the feather blade beef or something. Was pink, moist and juicy. The roasties were class as well, nice and crispy with a crunch on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. Compliments to the chef! Great job. I really enjoyed the food. The staff were very polite, I didn't catch there names the south african lad and lass with red hair were both friendly and provided great service. There was nothing I could fault. Will be back again and already recommended friends and family to try, you wont be disappointed.

Bang average, Sunday Lunch. One bowl ov vegetables served for a table of 6. "Served Pink" beef was overcooked. Slow, unhappy looking staff who served without a smile.Roast potatoes had an awfully burnt, smoky and unpleasant taste. One dessert also brought out very late, after other desserts finished.Have previously enjoyed every meal here, however this was very disappointing.

Had the lamb Sunday lunch, everything was nice except lamb was quite dry. Would get a different meat next time.

I would give this 4.9* very good nice to see professional waiters and good quality food. Shared a dessert and remember to give two spoons. Ordered 3 & 2 course.Soup was delicious and lamb melted in the mouth. Nice fresh & green vegetables. Only thing cooled down quickly like our meal, common problem. Maybe hot plats & bowls would have helped.Dessert was all we needed to top off with. For me not having a Sunday off and having a Sunday lunch was very rewarding.

October 2021. Visited again, I had chicken Kiev which was delicious. This time service was also great. August 2021. Food was great, but service slow.

No doubt about it, the best pub food you can have! The chefs take things to another level here. Brilliant service and dog friendly too. Make sure you don't miss the cheesy chips, trust me! Will definitely be returning to check out the Sunday lunch.

You get what you pay for here: exceptionally good food and fantastic, friendly service. Compared to other pubs it's slightly more expensive, however, the quality shines through. Although it's not an extensive menu, they take pub food to a new level. Best compliment I can pay is that I'll be going back and highly recommend it.
