Excellent customer service. Food came quickly. A lot of option for gluten intolerance. Recommended

A great Italian style restaurant with a wide open plan, with views of the kitchen from the upstairs so you can see what's being made. The toilets are downstairs, to which is another large seated area with a mini bar to get drinks from should you require them. The food was delicious and came piping hot and promptly. The only reason it gets a 4 star instead of a 5 is that, there were old cobwebs in view of the window, and some of the lampshades on the mood lighting where lopsided and looks generally untidy, there were multiple light bulbs out on the mood lighting which is noticeable when people watching whilst you're waiting for food.

Good quality food. Efficient and friendly service. Small portions for price. Not the greatest table layout, lacked atmosphere.

Excellent & attentive service. Good food well presented and a more than acceptable wine list. It was a good place for a family get together of 10 of us.

I am not a big fan of Italian chain restaurants but I feel this one is better than many. Nice cosy setting and very nice staff. Pretty standard menu and prices.Service a tad slow.

Sometimes when you visit a town/city on several occasions, it is difficult to break the attraction of dining at familiar venues.Well today was that day. Not today the usual Lebanese or fish and chips. After the usual trawl of menus and prices in the city centre, we settled on Zizzi.A warm welcome is always an encouraging starter. Zizzi's was just starting to fill so our timing was spot on.Our drinks were soon on the table, it was an unusually hot day for September, the cold drinks hit the thirst immediately. Our order was swiftly taken. I ordered pork and wild boar meatballs al forno. My better half ordered lasagne. The meals took an acceptable time to appear. I guess they are freshly prepared.Served on a hot platter the sizzling meal looked as good as it smelled. We both commented on how tasty our meals were.It was pleasing to be asked if everything was ok, a few minutes after the meal was delivered. This seems to be an attention to detail which has been lacking in a number of establishments we have visited recently. The meal was by no means cheap, it was however on a par with other establishments in that part of Durham City.We now have another lunch stop on our Durham list. Well done staff at Zizzi's.

Great Italian place for pizza and pasta. I was worried if a pizza would actually be enough since it's thin crust and not a ton of toppings, but they're misleading large. The style is to have a smaller amount of toppings, but a higher quality with each bite. What I mean by this is don't expect a uniform pizza, but do expect each bite to have a very good taste. Especially their sun-dried tomatoes, would highly recommend.

Hardly an authentic Italian restaurant nor dishes cooked. Fast food restaurant standard. Staff not attentive nor caring. Without proper ventilation inside the restaurant, it’s quite an unpleasant experience dining here with immense heating from the big pizza oven in the open kitchen. Simply too hot throughout the meal.
