Cafe Refresh in Darlington

Very central location, you can’t have more central than this, in the food market. There are tables in the street, inside and there is a 1st floor, very light and agreeable. So you’ll sure to find a place somewhere.When busy, the service can be very slow.The food was nice, however the soup was a bit strange (tomato bean and pepper).

We've ate here a few times over the years. On one trip to town, our little boy was desperate for a wee and as we were just outside we asked politely if he could use the toilet as he was super desperate. The lady was super rude and literally shooed us out of the door like we were rats and waved us out.We won't be going back again.

This is a nice cafe right in the centre of Darlington. The breakfast was excellent and plenty of it. Very clean with polite and efficient staff. Good price too. Thanks!

Superb ham egg and chips, really enjoyed it. Quick and friendly service along with being great value, just what I was looking for, many thanks 🙂

Unimpressed, 0 stars. Initially asked for a scone to be rudely told they aren't served on a Sunday as if it is something we should have known. Opted for a bacon sandwich instead. The bacon was still alive, grey, swimming in oil and big thick curls of pure fat. I wish I'd taken taken photo. I received no apology and the Manageress was totally unconcerned and just said theyd make another. I declined. I left the same review on Facebook and it was removed. Extremely poor service and quality!

Popped into this lovely cafe today for a spot of lunch and to escape the rain!We were immediately greeted by a very friendly lady who I think was the manager, she sat us down and gave us our menus. Food came very quickly and was delicious….club sandwich highly recommended!This coffee shop is run to a very high standard, with all the staff working as a team. Cleanliness was excellent with tables cleaned thoroughly and surrounding floors swept.Sunday lunch looked fabulous, we’ll be back soon to give it a try!

Was here today with a friend ..and we had the best fish finger sandwich ever ..and a lovely pot of Fresh tea ..everywhere was clean and fresh.A gem of a place.the staff were so friendly..will definitely be calling again .thank you..x

Nice independent coffee shop with refreshingly nice coffee, staff out loverly and really good with all there vivid responsibility, decor is a little dated, if it was updated it could be a little treasure trove off a place
