Eastern Bamboo in Darlington

Lovey authentic Chinese food. Brilliant staff, very accommodating and has a very oriental vibes this restaurant.Prices are higher but with the quality of food and service they provide. More than happy I went there to eat. Reminds me of Hong Kong.Will come back there again.

Taste okay, nothing special. Small portion and expensive. Sorry if this is a harsh review. I'm Chinese from China so I can tell that the food quality is not worth the price. Would be better if the price is lower or the food is served in bigger portion. The restaurant is always busy which surprised me 🤔

Didn't get the chance to eat here although only 1 table was occupied at 6pm we were told they were too busy to accommodate us. Disappointing

This restaurant never fails food is simply stunning we had a 6 course banquet meal for 2 which was crispy wan tung,soup,so tip fish, spicy chicken dry fry, crispy fillet if beef in a spicy sauce,which was followed by fruit and tea and coffee all washed down with 6 beers and bottle of prosecco between 2 costing £105 highly recommend this place

Authentic Chinese dishes, the most authentic Chinese in Darlington for sure. Very big menu lots of unique dishes. Need to eat in to work out what you like as the menu is extremely poor English which means it is hard to work out what you are ordering unless you read Cantonese!

The nicest Chinese in Darlington 100%. The food is absolutely amazing, the staff perfect hosts. There was 10 of us tonight and the waitress didn't forget one of our names. Good cooked to perfection. Sally the owner even surprised us with a cake for my hubbies birthday. Absolutely love this place, can't find one single fault

What a lovely little restaurant, staff are friendly and food was top notch! They even sped our food up because we were running late for the cinema. Will definitely return 😀

I can't believe that in over 30 years of going to Chinese restaurants around the North East (and further afield) that we've never been here, it's so easy to get to on the bus, whereas most others have been a car ride away.We were greeted with a warm welcome, the restaurant itself is quite cosy, relaxing, comfortable and clean, the staff are a nice and friendly bunch, we were allowed all the time we needed between courses, we weren't rushed, and the food was so good that I don't feel that travelling so far to Newcastles China Town is really worth the effort anymore. My only regret is we haven't tried this place sooner. We will be back.

Get through the door and your on a winner.We got here just as they opened on a week day, quite, but very attentive staff.Yummy food, very Cantonese style tastes which I really like.Would expect it to be quite busy on a Friday and Saturday night, as I heard a few tables being booked on the phone.
