Fantastic place definitely worth the visit. Food is proper home cooked top quality. We had a table of 9 and could not find fault in anything. Staff was lovely food was amazing. Would definitely go again would make it my local if we lived near.

Been several times and most times in was really good. Its popular with the locals, and deservedly so for the majority of the time. However, on my last visit, the food we were served was disgusting and I would of been embarrassed to of served us the food they brought out. It was the manager who served us, and I was disappointed she felt it was acceptable to serve us the food they did. It was burnt, and looked like someone had scraped it off the floor after a dog had gotten to it first. It was very disappointing and we haven't been back since. So although I'm sure most of the time the food is of a good quality, it certainly wasn't on our last visit. We were given a refund which was appreciated, but they should never of served us the food they did in the first place.

Always great quality food.I've never had a bad meal in there, but I've had some that I couldn't finish as I was stuffed. There's usually a good choice of real ales too, but only one available on this visit.

Food was standard, cutlery clean, staff attentive. Had to remove car from area as some clowns turned up with dogs and horses. Excrement littered the area, horse backed onto a small car where a man on horseback became rather abusive to a lone female driver. Not sure if this person is associated with the pub but the damage is done, will not use this establishment again. Avoid.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, went with a group of 9 friends as we were staying at a local cottage for a special birthday weekend, and visited the pub. Portions are huge, really lovely meal everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food.

Great, as usual. We've been going there for a few years now and have never had a bad meal. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Good choice and price.

Second visit in a couple of months. 10 of us went for Sunday lunch and it was excellent. The service was pretty quick for the size of the group and we were all really pleased, between us we had most of the menu and everything was fantastic - especially the vegetables. The kids portions were a good size and everything was fairly priced. We had delicious desserts too. Definitely be back.

Found us a table even though we had not booked and they were clearly very busy sat us in the conservatory part which was lovely ,light and enough space to not feel cramped. The dinner itself was delicious, roast beef cooked just right not over cooked and enjoyed the cauliflower cheese and the red cabbage something different to your usual veg.
