Maggie's Place in Darlington

Had brought my partner up for the weekend from London to meet my family a couple of weeks back, we dropped in here hoping to get a quick breaky. The place was very busy so they said they’d only be able to do takeaway which was fine with us.As we waited we were asked if we did want to stay as a table was now available, they could have easily let us leave so they didn’t have to serve us inside but they didn’t. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were really friendly. We both loved it and would drop by again without a doubt.

First time here since new owners. Would definitely recommend it lovely staff great service beautiful food & a huge pot of Yorkshire tea

Called in without booking this morning, made room for us and we enjoyed a tasty bacon sandwich and coffee.

Really nice vibe, friendly staff and decent breakfast. Coffee was very good and was the main reason we visited.

Fantastic breakfast with the best coffee I've had in ages. Highly recommend the Guinness cake. It's so moist and delicious. Keep up the great work!

Visited Saturday, lovely hidden gem along Duke Street. The staff that were present gave me a very warm welcome and great service. Food was enjoyable and restaurant appeared clean and well kept.

Excellent range of menu options, delicious food, great quality coffee and lovely staff. Definitely worth a visit!

Our first ever visit today. Lovely full English breakfast and a good strong pot of tea. Took two delicious slices of cake away with us for later. Staff were lovely.
